I would love to give this 5 stars all round but despite being one of the best Sunday lunches taste and quality wise, it was let down by being on the cool side. The food arrived being held with cloths suggesting piping hot plates, they were just warm and the meat and veg were the same. The quality an
Had Sunday lunch, which was great. Starter of pork loin cut very thin, served cold with accompaniments. The roast beef melted in your mouth. Had profiteroles to finish, lovely filling of blueberry cream but choux pastry was very hard which was disappointing after such a great meal.
Outstanding Sunday lunch! What a lovely little pub. Very welcoming, friendly & attentive staff. Great portion sizes and top quality food. Could not find a fault. 100% recommend, we will definitely return!
Sunday roast with trimmings = delicious πŸ˜‹ Fish and chips = whale size, also delicious πŸ˜‹ Apple crumble, bread and butter pudding and custard πŸ˜‹ Cheese board had plenty of crackers and πŸ§€ also delicious πŸ˜‹
A great meal. Something special and a bit different. The wines are very good and the non/low alcohol drinks. We had charcuterie selection and pickles, bean and tomato soup. Mains: woodcock with offal on toast etc., wild duck with roasties, sprouts and chestnut etc. Desserts were pear and almond tart
Luscious food enjoyed in great company. Attentive, knowledgeable staff.... A real treat 😍😘😁
Lovely quaint old building in a small village. Cosy inside with lots of outdoor seating. Traditional menu, and everything was really nice. Could do with more couple more veggy options, but the ones we got were pretty good.
This is an attractive pub in a great location. The food is very good and that is reflected in the high prices. There is a large beer garden too with views. On the main course menu there was only one choice for veggies so I had 2 starters. Meat eaters were extremely well catered for. I think as so
Recent visit 5 star✨️ top quality as usual..bit pricy but cost o living these days so as expected.
Small menu ( 5 mains available but changed frequently ) plus starters and desserts. We had the shoulder of lamb with roast potatoes and veg. Very tasty but one portion had a lot of fat. Nice for a change but won't be a regular haunt.
Wonderful restaurant, they do a great outdoor pizza in the summer and their food inside is great too. All locally sourced which means the menu is a little small at times but great options.
This used to be a favourite pub of mine many years ago and it was lovely to return for a meal with family members. It was the nicest Sunday lunch I can remember having (main and dessert) . We all loved it and I will be back soon for an evening meal. Thanks
I had visited this pub about 12 years ago , the memory of the heritage potatoes had stuck in my mind , probably the best I’d ever eaten ! Due to relocation I hadn’t returned until now All I can say is wow ! You have to visit here if you like food that is locally sourced and you know is prepared by S
Amazing food. Wonderful pub. Great staff. My Mrs and I loved the food in this place. We can't say enough good things about The Feathers. Others seem to think its pricey, but it's very reasonable if you are coming from London/southeast, and is as good if not better that a lot of places in London.
Best meal I've had in ages, very seasonal and delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch seafood stew & beef. . Meal suited us. So appreciate more unusual options in this area. Would love to return
The Feathers has long been an old favourite, though due to circumstance we hadn't managed a visit since pre-Covid. The culinary quiz night seemed the perfect excuse to put that right but boy, did it remind me what I'd been missing! The food was every bit as good as it ever was, and the rabbit pie ma
