Right next to the car park and the river. The staff were wonderful and made a fantastic breakfast! The sausage were amazing as was the bacon and the rest! £35 for 4 people is pretty good value!! Lovely Yorkshire tea! Can’t wait to go back! Great job 👏

Had a lovely tasty breakfast. Took a while to arrive but they were busy, so only to be expected. Cheese scones are good too!

Popped in to dodge a sudden heavy rain shower. Were greeted and seated quickly on the ground floor. We spotted the scones being prepared on our way in so knew what we wanted. Ordered 2 Yorkshire teas a fruit and a cheese scone. Service was quick and friendly. The scones were huge slightly heavy for my liking but we both enjoyed them. We squeezed 3 cups of tea out of the pot by adding the extra water provided. Overall impressed and for a hot drink and snack can recommend

Excellent coffee and service. Located in the heart of town with seating next to the river. Parking is available just next door but is a pay and display car park just for the town. Good food option and a good amount of seating for the size of the shop itself. Would definitely recommend if you fancy a quieter environment to the square.

Very nice coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating out the back near to the river. Service is a bit slow but staff are very well organised from a Covid point of view. They take your details, wear masks and thoroughly clean tables after use. Food was well prepared. Toilets inside upstairs were very clean.

On a wet midweek walk I stopped at Hebden Bridge, for a lunch break. I found the Watergate Tea Rooms and was met by a very welcoming staff member who showed me to a table, without having to wait. A good pot of tea and scrambled eggs, smoked salmon on toast was thoroughly enjoyed, setting me up for my next leg of my walk.

Nice tea and coffee. I tried the berries blackcurrant tea, very good❤️ and the smoked salmon sandwich (GF bread of course!) was delicious. We tried the soup of the day (red pepper and courgette) was really good too. Nice attention and we sat outside at the back so was more enjoyable. Hope to come back soon ✨

Visited today and what a lovely tea room. We sat in the courtyard and my husband, daughter and grandson all had crumpets which all went down very well. I didn't as I am doing a bread/cakes/biscuit free week but next time I will definitely partake of something off the really yummy looking menu. We had brilliant service and the tea rooms were extremely clean and well set out. Loos were immaculate, only drawback is that it was 2 sets of stairs to get to them. Not a major problem for us but as I didn't ask about an accessible loo I don't know if there was one. We will visit again next time we are in Hebden Bridge

I came too Hebden Bridge today as I needed some time away from Manchester where am struggling too survive mentally and know it would help me regulate my nervous system. I walked past and it looked quite , not busy and I didn’t feel worried walking in on my own and I was correct. It was quiet , no music , and the staff were friendly and I felt at ease. Having autism it can be hard when places are busy and noisy etc but I didn’t experience that here at all and enjoyed my lunch without feeling worried and anxious. One day I would love too be part of a community like Hebden Bridge where I feel I’d be accepted and belong . Great place too eat and will come back again when I can as it’s difficult too travel on the train . Hebden bridge perfect place too visit Thanks

We visited these tea rooms for the first time yesterday. We had the mini breakfast which came which came with a choice of tea or coffee and toast. It really was a beautiful breakfast, not greasy, nicely cooked and presented. Exceptionally clean establishment and very friendly staff. Have booked for afternoon tea next week. 8th March. Went for afternoon tea which was beautifully presented, sandwiches were not made until we arrived, never have I had such beautiful egg and cress sandwiches before the filling was perfect. The cucumber and cream cheese just as delicious. Lovely scone with jam and cream and beautiful little cakes. Thank you all so much, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Very nice cafe. Reasonably priced sandwiches and rarebits . The scones are particularly worth the calories.. I believe they are baked on the premises. Very pleasant staff. Have been quite a few times since. Had to upgrade to 5 stars as the quality and choice is really excellent. There is also a set meal to choose which is brilliant value and extremely wholesome. I have no recollection why I didn't give 5 stars in the first place. The scones continue to be one of our favourites.
