This cafe has a menu of simple meals such as sandwiches and beans, eggs, etc. on toast. They also had some cakes (one was gluten free) and a quiche. They had a couple of vegan options a curry and a lentil soup. They do oat milk as a an alternative to dairy. They only accept cash payments - I never carry cash so it's a bit of a pain having to go and withdraw cash, most small cafes and independent places take card now. Overall food was nice, something for everyone, and reasonably priced. They allow dogs in some parts of the cafe.

Great coffee and tea and really really good cakes. Dog friendly , not merely tolerant but friendly . Towels and dog bowls and snacks for dogs , even cakes. Our first visit was rushed as we had to get to the train station but we plan to visit again on our next visit . Buddy here ate all his cake in about 10 seconds 🐾👣😀

Visited Hebben Bridge today with our 4 month old bedlington terrier puppy. We popped into this cafe and were delighted as all the customers made a fuss of our puppy and chatted about their dogs with us. The coffee and cakes we had were really good, they also did dog cakes, we didn't give one to our puppy as she has a sensitive tummy but they looked great. I thought they were for humans as they done like cup cakes. Defiantly visit this cafe again.

Every dog and it's human should make at least one trip to the Lamppost café. Opened with the intention of putting dog's first, Amy & Claire strived to build up the business even in the face of adversity (2015 flloods). Now under new ownership, I feel the atmosphere that was created will continue. Muddy paws and wellies are always welcome. There is plenty for sale for your beloved pooch. From collars & leads, to treats and the all too popular pupcakes, which are a big hit. Made with only dog friendly ingredients. The human food is excellent too. Prepared fresh daily. Thanx to Claire for the amazing 'Thai Butternut Squash Soup' it was sublime. Cannot wait for our next visit.

Very good, nice, clean and very dog orientated. Right next to the river, by the place where people go to feed the, ducks and swans etc. in the middle of the main street, opposite the White Swan pub
