Welcomed by professional, charming staff at the desk (all volunteers) and served in the delightful cafe by highly competent staff with wholesome food in good surroundings. If using halls/rooms well appointed. What’s more to want?
Just had a lovely breakfast and cuppa here with my dad. Always friendly staff. Would recommend
Had a nice afternoon at the vintage fair and in the cafe and courtyard outside. Hebden bridge is lovely place and there was a folk festival on which was a nice surprise. The staff were charming and friendly.
It's wonderful having the Town Hall in Hebden as a base for our business Burns Collett. The staff & volunteers are charming, the cafe is ace & the ever-changing programme of events such as Wuthering Bytes today is fab. Keep up the good work!
Went to the Rag Market at the Town Hall on 7th October. What a lovely venue! Easy to find and plenty of parking around the building if you get there early enough. Had a great time. Staff and volunteers really friendly and helpful.
Beautiful setting by the river - fabulous courtyard seating area and cafe and they also host a wonderful beer festival amongst myriad other community activities
Very impressed with the cafe and the Wednesday support of the Watermark fund. Being from Wakefield, downstream, it’s important to us that upstream water-management is good. All power to the Calderdale community spirit!
Fantastic food, lovely staff. A really nice venue.
We went to the beer festival it was very nice sat out in the court yard. And we had some food from the little cafe in the town hall was very nice
So much goes on here, it's the living, beating heart of Hebden Bridge.
Visited Hebden Bridge for the first time yesterday with my family. We decided to travel by bus because the trains were on strike.
Was a lot cheaper because it only cost me and my son £5 with a day saver/all buses to travel there.
My partner used his bus pass, and it cost him nothing.
We got the 17 bus to Rochdale and then got the 590 to Hebden Bridge.
It did take a bit to get there, and it was worth it.
It was amazing, breathtaking, surrounded by the green hills, fresh clean air, and a bridge over the river Calder.
Many independent shops and market traders selling lots of different things from sweets to turkish lanterns and homemade crafts, including blankets, wooden benches, and mugs.
Had food in The White Swan, which was tasty and reasonably priced.
Will be going back soon and will also be walking around the beautiful park. I would highly recommend a visit.
The Town Hall itself is very good, with a decent cafe. I was there for a special event, the Rag Market, and I was disappointed with that....long queue, packed hall, and for a short person, almost impossible to see or access the stalls. It was claustrophobic, and I can't imagine anyone in a wheelchair being able to get around the narrow aisles packed with people. Parking is the usual nightmare and the one near the Town Hall is now a building site. Locals aren't shy about showing their frustration with visitors trying to negotiate the traffic system.
Beautiful hebden bridge, a charming little village / town, hebden is one of many little towns and Yorkshire about 40 minutes outside of Leeds. Train fare from Leeds to hebden it's about,1.80, it has a little Market on Friday and Saturday, if you visit during the week there's a lovely cafe in the town hall. Probably the most difficult thing is parking, if you don't mind a 5-minute walk, you can park at the train station. During the summer they have rides on a canal barge.
Good coffee cakes and meeting space. Sit outside in the sun when out,😀 Interesting photo and painting exhibits which change frequently
A nice community space and cafe adjacent to the river. A good place to have an unrushed coffee and tasty soup lunch with locally made bread.
As a former hospitality manager, I’d just like to compliment the service as well! Two particular stand outs are Aaron and Natalie, lovely young people with a charm and friendliness you just can’t teach! I always feel put in a good mood after being served by them, and often see them taking the time to chat with older regular customers who clearly appreciate it. Feels like a very important thing to cultivate in a good community space. I’d never poach staff on principle, but sometimes it’s tempting!
Another thing to note is the frequent events and exhibitions that take place in the cafe and town hall itself. There’s usually something to check out, so it’s worth a regular visit!
Great work and community space. Delicious food in the cafe with welcoming friendly staff.
Had a bite to eat and tea all good and staff all great
Good coffee. Good service. Excellent cakes. Dog friendly. And on a miserable, cold, wet, rainy day, all of the above was appreciated!
The only....only criticism would be the tea making. You get a teabag in a mug and leave the teabag alongside the teaspoons and other discarded bags. Otherwise very nice, clean , nice atmosphere and ambience. Lovely cakes. Nice loos. Just give me a teapot!
Good wholesome food served by friendly staff, in a clean pleasant environment, in a beautiful building.
Made my day ♥️🖖
Tasty soup of the day ,great value and service. Warm enough to sit outside on the terrace in October
Delightful little space, airy and laid back with very cheery staff. A good selection of food and drinks at great prices. A nice little riverside outside seating space which I imagine would be wonderful in the better weather. Will definitely be back!
God food in cafe. Great atmosphere on Thursday.
Lovely outside space with river views. Food was great and imaginative
Been to Hebdin Bridge dozens of times but this is the first time we have called in this cafe. Ignore the look of the photo. This is one of THE best tasting mushroom soups I have ever had. Came with two slices of grain bread and butter, it was a meal in its self. My wife only had a hot chocolate and is quite fussy but she said that was also in her top three of chocolate drinks she has had. Complements to the chef and will now be calling In each time we go. Five ⭐️ +.
Great friendly staff. Fab outdoor space for Al fresco style dining!
Quaint. Charming. Lovely shops and cafè's. Very busy at weekends. Plenty of pubs. Walks, canal, river, hills. Reaching back in time.
Apologies I thought I was commenti g on Hebden Bridge Tow path ! Start of a lovely walk
Lovely welcoming place. Attended a presentation and was made to feel very at-ease and valued. Nice experience.
