Lovely fish n chips Friday, tasty and good deal 2 for 1 offer. Never been here before, lovely food.
We stopped off here for a meal on the way somewhere and I'm glad we did. We had made a booking however when we got there there was plenty of tables free. We sat down and the lovely waitress took our drinks order, 1x prosecco, 1x coke, 1x wine and 1x G&T, we were then left to browse the menu. Again Halloumi made an appearance so I opted for that, it was amazing! So amazing I completely forgot to take a picture of it! Then we had....1x pie and mash as recommended by the waitress, 1x burger, 1x philly cheese steak sandwich and 1x cajun chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meal and said how tasty everything was. Our bill came to £77 including tips.
The venue was clean and tidy and the loos were clean too.
October 2023. Visited again with my friend from when our children were toddlers, she had travelled quite a distance so it was so good to have a warm welcome and the most delicious fish and chips! I have had to edit this old review as it seems I can't write a new one.. I visited here again tonight, Saturday is 21st August 2021 after two years, due to lockdown. There were 13 of us, all (well behaved!) ladies from regular fitness classes. The food was excellent, the service, friendly and efficient, the staff went out of their way, even moving tables soon after we all arrived, so we could all be together. Thanks to the team, we all had a fabulous evening. Thank you. Unfortunately, the food was so good, I forgot to take a photo 😂
We didn't know the area and found this pub. So glad we did, friendly and accommodating staff, even let us bring our small dog into conservatory area of restaurant. Being coeliac was no issue and I had a choice of gluten free mains and desserts. Food delicious! Definitely recommend.
Popped in for Sunday lunch without having booked. No problem. Very attentive staff and excellent food.
I only went to sort out a booking.and have a pint .at there other pub . Highlands inn ! Jazz fest .very helpful.lady but l still did not get any sense of what was going on?? At the jazz fest uckfield . ?? I only want a evening meal there ! Yours confused 😕
Great food, friendly staff and good service ( provided take-out boxes for the kids unfinished meals) certainly will revisit
Sunday roast was fantastic, would definitely recommend. Portions were a good size too and the kids loved theirs too. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will be going back again!

Being a chef my self I critic a lot when eating out but at this wonderful place I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, the welcome, the seating, drink service and food was all sublime, my only critic that the cauliflower cheese was every so slightly undercooked but it was soooooo good that I ate it and didn't worry about it, the lamb that I had was melt in the mouth and my friends food also looked amazing (we all had roast for lunch) I'd happily come again and would recommend to anyone to come and try this place
