In a word. Sublime. The food is first class. The best Onion Bhajis I have ever had, and I've had a lot! The Yorkshire cheese naan is also to die for. They treated the four of us to test a brand new chicken starter (free of charge) and also gave me 2/3 of a pint of craft ale because the barrel ended. 4 diners, poppudums, starters, mains, bottle of wine and a few beers. £25/head inc. tip. Bargain! We will be back for a 4th visit. Thanks

How could I have missed this place? A hidden gem. I'm a very fussy vegetarian and I am impressed with the taste and superior quality of food made and served here. Traditional homemade food with a modern twist. Will be coming here again and highly recommend it.

I drive past daily and the name piqued my interest so we decided to give it a try to celebrate my birthday. Less than £50 for 2 people including drinks, starters, mains and sides. The food was superb - very tasty and decent portions. The flavour of my Goan chicken was amazing with a lovely subtle heat that came in afterwards so as not to kill the taste. Enjoyed it thoroughly and intend to visit again

What a gem of a place. We ordered home delivery on the first Monday opening and even though deliveroo had messed up the opening times on their website so they wouldn't be delivering for them, one of the lovely guys who worked there jumped in his car and brought it to us. Amazing service. The food is also amazing. Made to perfection every time and there is nowhere else which compares.

Spice nutter review incoming. In the best part of the 20 years since I found my sadomasochistic streak with hot food. I've asked for food to be pepped up a bit while still making it taste good - "Indian strength", "Make the white boy cry strength" etc. In that time only 1 restaurant has risen to the challenge and succeeded. The Cat's Pyjamas Headingley has met that challenge! Gloriously spicy tasty food. Good service. What more could I ask for!

Take it from a man who eats at a lot of Indian food, the Cat's Pyjamas is exceptional. Proper Indian food with lots of layers of flavour, with natural heat, clearly cooked by passionate chefs. Add to that the exceptional service and very good value, and this is one of the best I've been to. Within 10 mins walk of the rugby and cricket grounds, it's an ideal place for a pre- or post-match meal.

First time at The Cats Pyjamas and it was wonderful! Amazing selection of food, great range of craft beers, chilled out atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was outstanding, an explosion of taste with every mouthful, the Pani Puri was my favourite, just delicious! Will definitely be back soon and highly recommend a visit!

Just been for the first time tonight. The 4 of us couldn't decide what to have from the amazing sounding menu so opted to have 1 of each starter (13 of them) between us. Every single one of them was fantastic! I would highly recommend forgoing the mains for a change and trying what was like Indian tapas! Will be going back very soon to the try the main courses next! Food/drink and service all first class.

One of the best and authentic Indian restaurants in Leeds. Having tried various other Indian restaurants, coming back to cats pyjamas is always a treat. The quality of food is really good and authentic. Poppadoms are light and not greasy, with the best pickle tray. Had the paneer and Bombay keema curry for main with cheese naan. Both dishes were really good, the keema curry is the best I've tasted anywhere.

Such a great place! Lovely decor and the food is absolutely amazing with lots of twists and lovely touches to the way the food is created. Butter Paneer was so tasty and plain naan bread so so fresh. Would recommend and we will return! My only way to improve would to be to have a children's menu although staff were accommodating in providing chicken nuggets and chips when asked.

My third visit since 2018 and each time the food is still spot on. The Dhaba traditional chicken curry is an absolute winner which is what we had this visit. Garlic naan bread bigger than a plate so perfect size to share. Perfectly sized portion of curry and rice and with everythi g all together it made for the perfect evening meal. Decor is bright and bold, service is swift and friendly. We arrived late after 9pm on a Sunday but they were happy to seat us and make us welcome. Always will pop in here if I'm back in the area. Can you open one up in Bournemouth?? 😃

The food here is incredible. We were unsure as to how much food to order between two of us as we wanted to try a few of the street bites and a curry and the waitress was very helpful with her recommendations. Ordered the Kolkata chaat, fish masala and okra fries off the street bites menu and Punjabi lamb with a garlic naan. The flavours were out of this world and the naan was perfect, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be returning!

My beautiful partner Mia and I have been ordering takeaway from Cats Pyjamas for a couple of years now and it’s always been excellent, but last night we thought we’d finally have a sit down meal as we live locally. The waiters were across the board lovely, fast and super attentive. The food came quickly and was delicious as always. It was so filling that we took some home and they bagged this up for us. The restaurant itself is compact, but warm and inviting. Would recommend to anyone!

Had an absolutrly amazing experience at The Cats Pyjamas in Headingley. I went to the Cats Pyjamas jointly for my girlfriends birthday and our anniversary. I messaged ahead about this and the staff really pulled out every stop to make the evening a special one to remember. They were all lovely and we had a brilliant evening. Not only that but the food was absolutely lovely, and was extremely affordable for what we got. 10/10, not a single complaint, thanks so much to the Cats Pyjamas and all the staff.

Decent food but was much better a few years ago! I had the same food as well. My picture shows samosa chaat and chicken seekh kebabs. The kebab was. Ice but chewy...put me off a bit.

A great venue for a last supper before lockdown 2.0 It was tasty but a bit samey. We’ll have to order differently next time! Prices are reasonable, decor is wacky, service was professional yet relaxed and there’s a good selection of palette cleansers on tap 🍻

I've passed this place a ridiculous amount of times and never knew it was an Indian Restaurant. Went here on a staff night out and will definitely be going back again! I had a variety of starters which were all amazing and then had the Punjabi Lamb dish which was divine with a side of pilau rice and a garlic naan. Also the Peacock Cider and mango lassi they served was amazing!

We had our anniversary meal here this evening and I was hesitant to try it as I've never had Indian Street food before. I can honestly say, with my hand on my heart, I believe the Saag Paneer curry is the best curry I've ever had! The yorkshire cheese naan was also something else, soooo cheesy! And the tandoori starter was delicious too. Would definitely recommend and will 100000% return. The Male staff were lovely upstairs and very helpful. Thank you for a great dining experience. 😍
