Pleasant pub, always busy, we ate there on a Saturday night, only complaint was we put through our starters and was asked if they were starters, which we said yes, but the young waitresses bought all our starters and mains out at the same time... we did say they were out through as starters but she said it all went through in the same ticket which was confusing. So rather than our mains go back amd sit under a hit plate we had to have it all together, but disappointing, but the food itself was very nice and couldn't complain. Lots of great outdoor seating, we surprised a friend for his birthday which some if the staff were in on, spent alot if the weekend drinking here in the sun. Nice place, nice staff and good value.

Had the best carvery ever here. Large choice of vegetables and generous helping of meat. Cheaper than other carverys too on a Sunday. 100% recommend

What a find this place was never been before but I will definitely will be returning the food was amazing the price was very reasonable. I have a fish allergies they took my information and made sure my food was away from any fish they really when out of their way. My nephews child's meal was lovely he really enjoyed it. The roast dinner was lovely all singed well for vegetarians My sister had the beef and Gammon was cooked perfectly it really was fantastic all round I would highly recommend to anyone.

Carvery food was good, although I thought going for the full works might have got a little more meat…!! Overall, service was OK, but I can’t say the staff behind the bar seemed very enthusiastic about serving you…Generally the eating area was poorly lit, some might call it ‘intimate’, but i prefer to be able to see what I’m eating… I had a 40% off coupon, so can’t complain at three main meals for adults and three drinks at a little over £29…and plenty of parking available at lunchtime…

We went this evening (Monday), the potatoes were amazing! Soft, fluffy, and perfect on the outside. This is great to see because previously, on a Saturday, we had to complain about the potatoes. Comments were obviously taken on board. Shout out to the Chef Hoyle! New staff members made an impact tonight, Jay Jay had great service skills and another young male member, who we didn't get the name of. It was also nice and calm tonight, bonus with the friendly new staff upping the atmosphere. The only thing that can be made better are the carrots, we would prefer roasted carrots. Overall though, a great Monday evening carvery for our family.

Unlimited brekkie is pretty good to be honest, the hash browns are the dogs dangly's, the sausages are banging, bacon Is average, black pudding is ok, eggs are a bit scary at times, the beans are good, and the brown sauce is banging!!!!!! See you next week lol

Genuinely a fantastic meal, went for the burger menu as it was a daily deal, was blown away, a proper burger cooked perfectly, the staff were friendly and efficient, the tables were clean and all food I saw was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended, going to try the carvery next time.

We've been to the Barley Mow a couple of times and it's never disappointed. The carvery is one of the best mainstream carveries with nicely cooked meat (you can opt for all the meats, too), not sawdust-like as you sometimes find, and a wide range of side dishes, which don't taste of cardboard, like some, and aren't over-boiled watery affairs, like others. Sam, who took our order on this recent occasion, was friendly and helpful, like all of the other staff we encountered, and she made the perfect passion fruit cordial and water, which sounds simple but clearly isn't given the frequency I'm served water with homeopathic quantities of the good stuff added, in other establishments. We shall certainly be returning.

We had a brilliant help yourself carvery meal here. There is a large, free car park outside, lovely homely vibe inside and the staff were friendly and helpful. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and everything looked clean and well kept. The prices are reasonable and the food was very nice. I would happily return.

We went to the amusements and rides at the beach. It's strait up the road from there quarter mile. Plenty room inside out. Plenty parking. Very nice staff. Very relaxed atmosphere. I had a roast beef. Better than my local toby carvery. Glad I never ate at the ship. V expensive. Here bargain. All in all. I highly recommend the barely mow. Great prices great food. Thank you..
