Absolutely fantastic place in a beautiful location! The owner has created this gem called The Salt Shack Cafe which not only serves amazing food but is also incredibly welcoming, has great staff, beautiful decor and is quite simply fabulous! I have now been a few times and have tried breakfast (which was unbeatable) lunch (fabulous homemade soup and pate) tea and coffee, cakes to die for and wine! Can’t go wrong. Yum Highly recommend!!

Gorgeous food. Gorgeous staff. Gorgeous location. Gorgeous for children too. (Bare in mind smallish space and drops down to the water, so well behaved or older helps) Take your time, take in your surroundings, you’ll really find it hard to beat!

This is a MUST visit cafe when on Hayling Island. We called for a reservation for lunch as we had heard lots about this place and wanted to make sure we got in. The location is right on the marina and is AMAZING. The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel like family, and the food is DELICIOUS. It's served with so much presentation and love, and tastes FABULOUS. I can not recommend this cafe enough. We had heard so much about it and they DIDN'T let us down. Thank you for a truly amazing experience.

Lovely scenic cafe looking over the Langstone Marina, beside Langstone Hotel. Friendly staff, good menu selection. Lovely under cover tables/seating, each table has heaters overhead. Could accommodate large groups as approx 14 tables to seat 4 per table but need to reserve # days ahead and a small deposit per head. Great for entertaining friends/ family in a relaxing setting. They play great mellow and relaxing holiday music during dining. Watch the sunrise and then go for a coffee and cake in the cafe !

Wow, what a beautiful lunch we've just had! My mum had the Spanish Quiche and I had the Tabbouleh! Both absolutely delicious. As the recent heatwave has gone and the clouds and windy weather was slowing out, mum really appreciated the warm blankets on offer, for all customers to use. We enjoyed the jazz music in the background, whilst sitting waiting for our order to come. Took just over 15 minutes for food to arrive today, but well worth the wait! Staff very friendly and the ambience for a Sunday was busy but a rare gem to find. Not too far to walk from the visitor's car park in the Cafe at the end of the Northney marina, but we were really happy to have found this Cafe and after a short wait to be seen to a table, they kindly seated us in an already reserved table which was 1.5 hours until the "Reserved customers" were due to arrive, so when the food came, we made sure we were gone so they could re-do the table ready, but will definitely be back and perhaps reserve our own table, as definitely would like to try more from their very tasty-looking menu! It seemed it could get quite windy outside under their shelter, but after first noticing the warm blankets, then their ceiling heaters and the plastic roll-down curtains will I'm sure, keep that outside seating area pretty cosy even on a colder day. However, we were both warm with no jumpers on and very comfortable. We could have stayed longer for more of their tasty coffee and perhaps had a dessert or 2! Hopefully next time, but we highly recommend Salt Shack Cafe, a great find! 5* 😍😍😍😍😍

This place is amazing! Friendly staff, amazing food including see food, great milkshakes, coffee & smoothie, my favourite is the vanilla iced latte! Plus dining in with the view of the harbour on a sunny day is so nice! Couldn't recommend this place more.

Came for breakfast with friends and the food did not disappoint - the sausages in particular were packed full of flavour. Extremely reasonable prices as well. Only grudge is that it was a bit cramped seating wise.

Quiet idyllic location over looking the Marina. Good seating and tables. We were served at the table by friendly staff. Food selection does seem to vary according to season / busyness, which is not surprising.

What a gorgeous little find for lunch out with my mum and daughter. A really cute cafe with a tropical holiday vibe to it along with a gorgeous view out over the marina. We all chose the olive oil ciabattas the fillings being the bacon and brie, the cheese, chutney and avocado and the vegan sausage, cheese and chutney. All served with crisps and salad garnish and all delicious. Two of us also had flat whites with oat milk. A great lunch had by all.

Lovely spot, arrived too late for food but had time for a G&T. A little quirky with the decor but it works very well. Would have liked to have gone back for lunch but we were restricted with time and trying fit everything in. Staff were very friendly and helpful during the short time we were there. Its a real shame that they close late afternoon and I can't help feeling they are missing a trick by not staying open for a few more hours, maybe until 8pm. If we visit again we will definitely be booking for lunch.
