Absolutely amazing food with service to match.
Staff are friendly, helpful and courteous and the food is top notch. Roast meals with a choice of 4 meats on a Sunday (or multiple meats on one plate) along with superb Pizza - genuinely better than most pizza shops/chains.
It is awkward to get to but has decent parking available on site (back of the pub) and I would recommend booking ahead to ensure you can get a table.
Visiting family so will be back to the area again and will definitely be eating here again!
I stayed for one night in The Lookout which was up a staircase above the main building. Reasonable amount of room with a double bed and sofa style bed. The shower was decent enough. Really appreciated the mini fridge and toaster for making my breakfast in the morning. All using ingredients bought from the small local shop across the road.
Car Parking is at the side of the pub and I managed to find a space near the end.
I left relatively early in the morning so dropped the keys through the letterbox in the front door.
Fantastic food at a very reasonable price in a quaint and quiet little place. Had a superb home made steak and ale pie. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful with all requests. Will be back
A fantastic old world pub in a prime position in the quant village of St Erth, both me and my wife didn't want to leave. Charmingly designed rooms, lovely food, friendly staff and locals and enough going on to keep you there until closing time.
The owner Mick was a gentleman and it was great to meet and chat with him.
Highly recommended for a few drinks, meal or a place to stay
Great pub, good friendly service, nice range of beers, not rip off prices. Didn't eat but menu looks good. Will be back. PS š¶ friendly
Went today for Sunday roast. A 10/10 for us. Couldn't fault it. The beef was tender and I think we had 6 different vegetables. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Would definitely recommend.
On holiday with my parents, we were looking for somewhere local to the holiday accommodation for a quick and tasty meal out. We decided to try the 'Fishy Friday' offer at the Star Inn (fish, chips and mushy peas for Ā£10). I made the booking by email and the confirmation came through really quickly - a good start! On arrival, a friendly welcome and our table was ready. The food was delicious and a generous portion! Huge thanks for providing a gluten free option so that my dad (who is coeliac) could also partake. A special thanks to the bar staff who let us know where to find some of the coronation decorations they had up inside the pub so my mum could get some to take home!! Excellent service, great food, lovely atmosphere - very happy to recommend the Star Inn to anyone in the Hayle/St Erth area looking for a good meal/drinks.
Very good pub. Good food at extremely competitive prices very good value. Nice ambiance and very friendly. Would highly recommend.
Cannot fault our experience in any way. Great staff, wide range of drink choices, super food, lovely pub and gardens. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere.. Food very plain and not value for money.. I struggled to find any fish in the 3 fish pie but dessert was nice..
Had a lovely meal, waited a while for it but it was very busy in a lovely little village. Meal was worth waiting for.
Amazing food, a proper pub. Wish there were more like it. The camembert sharer is stunning
Very good local eatery, friendly staff and locals. Made us feel welcome from the start.
Found this little gem of a pub from a sign near to where we was staying It didn't disappoint. Had an evening meal there one night the food was absolutely brilliant. While we was there we noticed a sign for a vintage afternoon tea which we booked . We had this today and this was also excellent. The bar staff could not do enough for us even brought our 2 dogs treats .Thank you very much please visit this pub you won't be disappointed. See you again next year
Absolute gem of a pub. Couldnāt fault a thing!
The menu offered an extensive selection which catered for all tastes - was quite a tricky task selecting a favourite. Food was delicious and our waiter Steve could not be more welcoming and attentive.
To top things off, my party and I were able to enjoy a free quiz followed by complementary pizza at the end. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful Cornish Inn š¤©
We had a fantastic lunch here after a walk from St Erth station. The staff here are so welcoming. The food was fantastic and such great value for money. We had lunch for 3 of us and drinks for around Ā£30 which is brilliant. Great menu for kids too and they are made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommend
Lovely village pub tucked away In St Erth. Lovely food and real ale. Service was excellent and friendly staff very helpful.
Large car park and garden. Well worth looking up. Excellent
I was working in the area and looked for a local shop selling sandwiches but couldn't find one, then I came across this great looking local pub. It looked well presented from the outside, lots of parking, colourful, plenty of info on the boards outside and well just really inviting. I asked the landlord (very welcoming) if they could do a takeout sandwich and he said no problem. The interior is like a traditional pub great looking quaint and cosy. Now the important bit I ordered a Tuna mayo on brown which arrived in a takeout box with a bit of salad and crisps not a bag full but just right . The sandwich was great, tasty and soft fluffy bread, it's been a while since I had one as tasty. The cost was on a par with a usual type sandwich shop however the quality was certainly in the top few. I will definitely be back to eat in, what a great place.
