Been coming to St Ives since born and only been staying in Hayle since 2005 but this year found this fish shop for the first time. Got to say we enjoyed our fish and chips. Lovely white fish and both fish and chips were a large portion (couldn't finish it all) we will be back �
The best fish and chips in the country! Always visit here on my yearly trip to Hayle and everytime I have fish and chips anywhere else I always remark "good, but not as good as that place in Hayle" we drive down from Glasgow and on arrival this place is always our first stop. Always marks the start of our holiday.
Me and my wife wanted fish and chips for our wedding breakfast.
We have tried fish and chips from countless fish and chip shops around the west coast of Cornwall and we always without fail agree that we couldn't beat Chandler's Plaice in Hayle. We were delighted and over the moon when Chandler's Plaice agreed to cook for our wedding.
The food was amazing, everything was piping hot and delicious and every guest loved it with complements throughout the evening.
We can't thank or recommend you enough!

Bought Food from chandlers this evening, one word sums it up! Outstanding!!! The food was great but most of all the service was fantastic, I am unable to eat gluten so as you can imagine eating out is pretty stressful sometimes but the lovely lady serving made it an absolute breeze! So helpful and understanding she really couldn't of been any better! Thank you so much will definitely be back!

Excellent fish and chips last night
Pretty good fish and chips at reasonable prices. It was a very long wait as it was super busy, but I was warned before placing the order. At least everything was fresh.
Best Fish & Chips in Hayle with healthier options. We were sent here by a local and so glad we gave them a try. We had the steamed cod with chips, curry sauce and mushy peas.
The fish was super tasty and moist. Chips were tasty and not greasy. Overall excellent food and service, highly recommended!!
You need to visit this chip shop! The owner was instantly friendly and helpful, she recommended the homemade fish cake and informed me of all ingredients. She made me feel so comfortable, which is so important for me.
Prices were completely reasonable right by the ocean. The food was fresh, the fish cake was the tastiest fish cake I've ever had in my life. We ordered Mini Cod and Large Chips and Homemade Fish Cake.
They had plenty of helpful notifications and adverts on their wall too, I found out about the Seal Sanctuary near by- where I'll be going tomorrow!

Went here tonight for mini fish, fish bites, home made fish cake, chips and spicy curry. The food was absolutely delicious all piping hot and freshly cooked. Highly recommend and very reasonably priced too with friendly staff.

The BEST Cod outside of Wetwang!! And certainly the best in Cornwall. Really delicious and beautiful fish. Freshly cooked. Really enjoyable. What made this even more enjoyable, was how wonderful the lady serving us was with my children! My son has ADHD and is on the autistic spectrum.. I’m very used to being stared at in disgust by people who assume my son is rude and naughty but this lady engaged and gave them colours and paper and even offered to display their work in her shop! For the first time in a long time I enjoyed my food without feeling stressed. Wonderful all round!!
Lovely visit to Chandlers. Chips were amazing!!! Small fish a decent Size. Returned the for a second time with family tonight and staff so accommodating to my concern from previous night. On holiday for another 2 weeks and will definitely return before heading to Scotland ❤️
Big queue here on a Thursday night in August, so a bit of a wait but well worth it - and a sign of how good this place is! Recommended, really great fish and chips

If you're staying at the nearby haven Park, come here! Honestly don't bother with the "chippy" on site, it's dreadful. Frozen oven chips chucked in the fryer and way overpriced. 2 mins down the road is a proper chippy in Chandlers!
