Been here with friends, as we were missing authentic Indian food since long time. This is one of the good Indian food place in West London. For starters we ordered non veg platter, chilli panner and dahi papdi. Dahi papdi was so good and testy. However non veg platter disappointed me, after 15-20 min chicken feels like rubber. Then in main course we ordered dal makhni, panner, lamb curry and chicken curry, all the dishes were delicious. Must visit place for Indian food.
Great food at great prices with great service! Very happy to have visited and will certainly visit again. A really homey atmosphere and authentic North Indian cuisine makes this an immediate and absolute favourite! :)
Very authentic Punjabi food served here.Very tasty. Its a total value for money restaurant.Ambience is beautiful and true to its name.I would definitely recommend this restaurant. One of the finest we have in London. One of their must try is their salt lassi.Dil bola balle balle.😀
How come no one's reviewed this yet!? My fellow Indians in London, or the outskirts - you HAVE to try this place out.
This is a good 45 min drive away from the city of London - close to Heathrow - understandably it is far, but trust me - it's well worth the effort.
We were a ravenous bunch of 6, having made our way from our day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, as this was highly recommended by our friends, who'd been there before for a meal. This place allows you to bring-your-own-booze (BYOB) in and quite conveniently there's a place right adjacent, selling you variety of tipples to choose from.
After we picked up our bottles of Kingfisher beer (hey - we wanted a complete Indian experience) we entered Pind Punjabi and were greeted by the familiar aroma of the tandoor - Pind Punjabi has a setting like a Mirch Masala in Kolkata or a more colourful version of Urban Tadka in Mumbai. The interiors are colourful - like a typical Punjabi village (pind) - with the artificial tree in the middle, a well for drawing water in the corner, wall art of Punjabi men sitting on the "Khatiya" (rustic bed) and enjoying a hot meal of roti's and daal (presumably) with onions and fresh radish on the side, women making hot roti's, carefree children playing with a ball..this place reminds you of home in many ways!
Let's get to the food. For starters, we ordered a full tandoori "kukkad" (chicken in punjabi), Malai chicken, Jeera "Kukkad", Papdi chaat (for the vegetarian wife). The tandoori wasn't the best I've had, albeit not bad at all - was a bit on the dry side and didn't have the charcoal-y effect of the tandoor , the malai chicken was VERY dry and was probably the only disappointing dish of the day, the Jeera chicken was spectacular - very spicy and full of flavour - LOVED it. Although suspect it might've had a chinese influence? Tasted like it for sure - note - just a slight influence..most of the starters were served on sizzling pans, on a bed of raw onions. Papdi chaat, according to the wife, was average.
The mains - Sarson ka saag, (unfortunately there wasn't any makki (corn flour) roti, which goes best with this), Chicken Makhni (Butter Chicken), Daal Makhni, Butter Paneer, Methi (Fenugreek) Kukkad. These were to be mopped up by a combination of Indian breads - Garlic naans, plain rotis, Chilli garlic naan, Missi rotis (these are made from gram flour)
The curries were SUPERB. Beats many north Indian restaurants back home hollow. And I'm so glad for that.
The Sarson ka saag - even my wife who's from Delhi assured me that it's the authentic stuff - this dish is actually slow cooked over a long time and is a combination of 5 (I think?) varieties of Spinach. It was awesome. I would even go as far to vouch that this was my dish of the day. I had dreamt about it last night as well. Truth.
The butter chicken was excellent - I'd really expected this after I'd sampled the starters and had understood that these guys knew what they were doing. Rich orange boneless chicken gravy - with a dwindling trail of fresh cream.
The Methi Kukkad was another pleasant surprise - full of flavour - the methi hits you and is not so strong - combines wonderfully well with other spices - it's a semi dry preparation and is on the spicier side - but strongly recommended.
The breads were good - no complaints there as well - hot and fluffy.
Wow! I'm hungry for the same after having written this review. All this and a couple of lemonades, cokes for a total of under 90 quid. That's under 15 pounds a head for a fantastic dining experience. It's like a mobile operator's - "No Brainer Deal of the Week..wait cancel that..No Brainer Deal of your-lifetime-in-London".
Go for it. And remember, this is where those "Hajmola" tangy digestive pills gifted to you by your Indian friends would come in handy. Lip-smackng-experience. I take off 0.5 marks for the Tandoori Chicken and the Malai chicken which can certainly be improved.
We really enjoyed our dining experience. Great service and food. The Gol-Gappe took me on a journey down memory lane in Delhi many moons ago.
We visited this place based on recommendation from our friends. The food is decent but the place is too Cramped. We ordered some veg and non veg dishes and felt too saucy. The Saag and Dal makhani as part of mains was very good .
I am really unsure why the rating is below 4. They are far far better than this.
We a group of 4 friends visited today for dinner post our holi party. Ambience 10/10, staff 10/10, Main course 10/10, starters 8/10, dessert & drinks 10/10.
The best ever yet in this part of london.
I promise your money won’t be wasted here.
First time at place and we loved it. Food and decor is so authentic! If you want freshly cooked tasty punjabi food, this place is it! Good place to come with friends
My Indian mates took me here and it was the best Indian food i have ever tasted at a very reasonable price. Service was efficient and attentive. The table, glasses, cutlery and toilets were clean. The food was well presented. The fact that the place was rammed and we had to wait for a table speaks for itself. Definitely going back.
Probably the best Punjabi food eaten in the UK over the last 16 years, our go-to place for authentic North Indian cuisine. Love the Butter chicken, paneer palak and the lamb Rogan Josh...
Terrific atmosphere, terrific service terrific food. What else you need whenall three come together. Highly recommend you book before arriving there. We were lucky to get a table after short waiting

Take your own alcohol or you can buy from the restaurant.
Food was very good, really value for money. Hosts are okay, a bit cold but friendly. A bit noisy coz of folks at one particular table. But loved it overall. Will visit again very soon. 😊
