Wow! Two incredible meals so far. The owner is absolutely lovely, really cares about serving fabulous food and is so accommodating. The cocktails are amazing! Cannot wait to go back again!
Called in for drinks. Cocktails were excellent and the service was really friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning for drinks again and to try the food menu.
First visit today for my wife and I, absolutely fabulous, excellent food and brilliant service. Sunday brunch at 11. Eggs Royale to die for. Top quality local produce and nice portion sizes. We will be back soon.
Beautiful restaurant, all decorated fir valentines. We had 3 course set meal which was delicious. We ended up taking some of the sharing platter home as we just didn't have room. Staff were very welcoming and attentive so defo 10/10. X
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Wood Pit this afternoon. The menu here is great with lots to choose from, all in our party of 6 adults (and 2 children) were very impressed. I had the katsu chicken curry which was so fresh, crispy and delicious, I look forward to trying more dishes. Staff and proprietor very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Best of luck to this fab little eatery, thanks for a great meal!
Went last night with friends to a charity event in aid of guide dogs. Amazing night. Great atmosphere. Phil and his staff were brilliant. He even compered the event dressed in dog ears and nose. And donated. What more could you ask. They couldn't have done anymore. 3 course meal was superb. Highly recommend. Give it a try.
Highly recommended... Food is beautiful and all freshly prepared which is hard to come by these days. Staff are friendly and attentive. Menu is upto date with current trends and classics which is a bonus as something to suit all taste buds. Portion sizes are perfect and fall in line with price. Myself, partner and little girl have eaten here on many occasions and have never been disappointed and we will continue to return. The meals we have had are various starters, Roast Dinners, steak, pie, pasta, pizza, fish and chips, burgers and children's meal (mainly the homemade nuggets and chips that my little girl loves). This gem of a establishment is perfect for Haydock, fits in well and its about time we had somewhere nice to go local where food of this quality is available without traveling far.
Went for a surprise 65th birthday, we had the back private dining room which was lovely. The food was beautiful, very tasty and well presented. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definately return in the future.

We tried the Wood Pit Cafe & Bistro for the first time a few days ago following a recommendation and we weren’t disappointed.
The food was cooked perfectly, tasty and well presented throughout all courses. The service side of things was friendly and efficient throughout our visited.
Overall a very pleasant experience.
Excellent little bistro - if you can get here without driving, I would recommend the bottomless brunch. The duck bon bons are to die for!
I'm a regular here because the food is always amazing, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. The deserts are not to be missed either with fresh cakes and brownies made each day. I would definitely recommend The Wood Pit
Been a few times for breakfast and thought we would try Sunday lunch with friends , friendly and happy atmosphere, the meal was 10/10 and would recommend 100% , a lovely afternoon with friends made possible by the wood pits staff and management delivering first class service , well done 5 stars from me .
Went for lunch yesterday four adults one child, lovely food, staff very welcoming and attentive, Sofia my Granddaughter had a great time colouring, would definitely recommend xx

Got a table straight away and was served quickly. A little while to wait but the food was lovely (Breakfast). Nice Cappuccino aswell.
