The Cosy Cafe - Hay-on-Wye - Photo album

food is tasty and reasonable price. Lovely decor and atmosphere. but service was meh, waited over 10 minutes for our order to be taken, and the staff expected a tip at the end (looking at you to choose the option).
Very positive experience here. Gorgeous atmosphere, very cool decor and comfy seats. This is a very popular cafe and we decided to stay on for lunch after our coffee as we realised if we came back we'd most likely have to wait. DH ordered a sandwich which was delicious and came with sides of yummy
Stopped off for a quick coffee only. Decor and comfort inside is spot on. Coffee was good, had a long black that tasted and looked like filter coffee and oat mokka which was very sweet…wish the cups were a little nicer to match the venue.
Food was a little disappointing considering the price, but the drinks were good and the staff were really friendly. Love that they show their list of suppliers on the wall. The atmosphere and decor was really nice, properly relaxed place, especially the comfy seats by the front window!
Decided to stop here for coffee and food whilst visiting Hay on Wye. It definitely lives up to its name as the atmosphere is very cosy. We were seated straight away, but it took a while for someone to come to our table and serve us. Once they did, the service was fine although they did miss one of t
Visited Sunday May 14th. Love the decor found the cafe to be relaxing and comfortable. Some outdoor seating available. Just opening and took a while to get going but we weren't in a rush, so all fine. Very much enjoyed our brunch & particularly enjoyed the pick your own breakfast, freshly made to or
My husband and I popped in for lunch while on our mini moon and this was exactly what we were looking for. Delicious food (the sandwiches were so good), cosy vibe, and great service. Would definitely come again if in the area.
The interior of this cafe is gorgeous! Very cosy and warm for Christmas. We ate here twice, the first for lunch where the sandwiches were very tasty, the second for drinks and crepes. The crepe was able to be GF for myself - very impressive. Well priced cafe. Lovely staff, would go back.
Went for a couple crepes when staying in the Cosy Retreats above the cafe, top notch and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and helpful even though it was busy. Would visit again!
Difficult to get a seat, but there is a good reason for this as the food is fresh and delicious. We found the staff to be hardworking and very receptive to the needs of their customers. We had three trips there because it was the best cafe we found in Hay. Only reason it did not get full marks was t
Lovely place , coffee is amazing , food is great. Staff were busy but so relaxed and calm . Great place .
Couldn't fault it, lovely atmosphere, good food, easy to find a seat, table service, polite staff, clean loo. We even took a brownie away to eat later. Plus: quite a few of the other cafés in Hay were shut, as we visited mid week out of season.
Delicious and imaginative food, perfect for a lunchstop. Friendly waiting staff who managed to be attentive despite being rushed off their feet!
Comfortable modern atmosphere, tasty and unique food and a large selection of sweet treats. Great value for money, perfect place for lunch.
