Me and my wife came today while we had a couple of child free hours ... very impressed, great food we both had the large breakfast which was very tasty and a couple of lattes. The coffee is excellent. Definitely the best in the area. The owners and staff were very friendly too and the cafe had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will return.

Had breakfast at Mowbray's today. Food was cooked excellently. Very tasty. Love the decor, trendy but comfortable and the staff were friendly without being obtrusive. Would certainly recommend this place to eat and drink.

Westwoodside Tiny Tots had some of your food as a treat for the mums, and it really was a treat! I had to stop myself from eating ALL the sausage rolls. Sadly I failed to get the other mums to believe that the chocolate brownies were not truly delicious, moist and so I could only have 1. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My compliments to the chef x..

I don't go anywhere else for afternoon tea now, I've brought different people to try it and lots of people have asked me where I go because it looks (and tastes) so yummy! Don't ever change what you do because your genius' & your cakes are to die for 100% recommend to anyone!

Maybe biased because I quite like the owner but.... best sausages ever, yum, yum! One kid doesn't eat egg and the other doesn't eat bacon- both scoffed the lot today so says a lot! See ya again soon for more sausages

Yesterday my friends and family organised a surprise baby shower for me at this beautiful location. The food was outstanding and the staff were brilliant! Afternoon tea with a variety of fresh sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiches, salad garnish and coleslaw with a wide range of beautiful homemade cakes to follow! I had the best time and would 100% recommend The Mowbrays for a private event as well as a place to pop into for some lunch and a coffee. Always made to feel welcome . 10/10 from me xx Thank you xx

Westwoodside Tiny Tots Playgroup ordered a selection of sweets and savouries from Mowbrays Cafe, on the 7.3.18, as a Mother's Day treat. It was easy to communicate with them and they were flexible with the choice food and worked with our not so big budget. Food was ready for collection at agreed time. Needless to say everything was scrumptious and went down a treat. Thank you! :) xx

Just attended a baby shower hosted by the Mowbray’s who I think kindly opened the doors just for us as it was a Sunday. The food was fantastic (especially the scones!) and hosts were great, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back and recommend to others. Thank you

Have just been to Mowbrays for lunch, with my Husband and his parents , We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Warm Chicken & Bacon Salad was nicer than I've had in some restaurants, and will definitely choose this again on my return , The Ham sandwich, and Sausage panini were of exceptional standard. The millionaire shortbread was to die for !!!! . Most of all it was a very nice and friendly atmosphere , lovely place to visit and will definitely be going again soon Thank-you Denise

We popped in for breakfast during a cycle ride. My picture probably doesn’t do the breakfast justice. The sausages were amazing, cherry tomatoes a good touch and to finish with the sour dough toast was divine. All in all, it wasn’t cheap (£35 for three drinks and 3 standard breakfasts) but it was tasty and a friendly venue that I’d visit again if I was passing by.

Enjoyed excellent takeaway coffee and cake here 2 days running while out cycling. Very well organised given the difficult circumstances with contactless payment and hand sanitizer available. A great friendly welcome too from the ladies! Nice to see a cafe making a real effort to continue trading and to provide customers with great food and a much appreciated service.

Called in yesterday to purchase a slice of cake as I was passing on my weekend walk. The homemade cakes looked gorgeous and could not choose between a Bakewell tart or a lemon meringue...after a bit of banter with the owner I opted for the Bakewell and departed...I found a bench and settled down for my treat.... imagine my joy when opening the box and found both a slice of Bakewell and Meringue... and to make it even better, both of them were superb..what a lovely gesture !! so, take my advice and call in when you are in the area...
