Fathers Day meal- A great experience all round ! Tastefully decorated throughout. Menu choice was great, I ordered soup (which I NEVER do anywhere) as it sounded delightful, and served with a twist ! I was suitably impressed perfectly seasoned and super fresh ! (I was a head chef myself for 15 years and to be literally bowled over by soup is an illusive challenge !) The whole meal was delicious, well presented and sublime! Subtle touches such as crisp ,white, soft linen napkins, white serving gloves on the staff along with glimmering cutlery and glassware just exuding attention to detail and great standards . I’d recommend this place highly ! Really reasonable prices for great tasting food in a lovely setting , friendly well turned out staff. We met the owners who were also lovely people, such a diamond quality establishment ! A credit to all involved at the Hawthorn . Thank you for having us !
Cracking place to eat, atmosphere, staff and food fantastic ! A great place for an ice cold beer in the sunshine !
A diamond of a place in a Yorkshire landmark!
As it was our anniversary and hearing such great reviews from our friends we thought we’d try (correct, we don’t get out much, too busy and tired).
Well, what a delight! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, just as you’d expect. The food...oh my god! My wife, not a steak lover had the rump and she raved about it, me, the steak lover had the fillet, wow, is all I can say, the best steak I’ve had in a long time. Perfect! Everything was perfect, thank you everyone at The Hawthorn Haworth.
Last night we tried The Hawthorn, very impressed by the food. We had the lamb and the pork belly for our main and the presentation was outstanding. The food tasted amazing! The staff were very friendly and sitting by the open fire surrounded by the quirky decor made the whole experience something a little bit different to your average restaurant. We finished off our meal with a piping hot glass of mulled wine, it was like Christmas in a glass!
Such a stunning venue and amazing attention to detail - the history of the paintings and artefacts makes for an interesting experience. The food is exceptional and the staff are wonderful, what a treat for Haworth to have this gem! Couldn’t recommend enough, we will be regulars...
The Hawthorn was faultless in every aspect from ambience and decor to cocktails and food. Despite being very happy with my choices I found food envy was a major problem but that is as close to a complaint as I can get. The Hawthorn is definitely a great addition to Haworth and one I intend to visit regularly. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and a mouth watering menu. What's not to like?
We throughly enjoyed our evening here, from the decor, the staff and of course the food and beverages. We can highly recommend the Chateaubriand and a sneaky bottle of red Valpolicello.
This is one of the best places we have been for a long time! We stayed in Haworth over three nights and visited the Hawthorn for two lunches and an evening meal. The food is amazing and service exceptional. Highly recommended!!
Came with a friend last night was lovely food and the place is really nice ..great portion sizes! Will Definitely be back again.
Probably had the best Roast dinner of my life here for my Mum’s Birthday. Absolutely scrumptious food cooked to perfection. Lovely staff and fab ambience too. Highly recommended. A+
Excellent food, good wines and real ale. Friendly and helpful staff. And lots of beautifully displayed artefacts, furniture and documents from Haworth's past. We had a great time.
Just what Haworth needed. It’s feels like it’s been there for years. The interior design is superb and takes you back in time, the food is first class. (Steak is the best I have ever had) Well done Charlie and team!
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal for our wedding anniversary this evening. Beautiful restaurant, great ambience, amazing food and friendly staff. Highly recommended and looking forward to returning again.
Amazing food, wonderful service and a lovely atmosphere. Well done all! Well definitely come back to visit Haworth just to have another gorgeous meal
Delightful little restaurant, full of charm and character.
Good varied menu, the food was flavourful great quality and presented at good portions.
I’m sure we will be back for our 3rd visit very soon!
My boyfriend and I booked in for the Sunday roast after his friend had recommended it. It's a cosy place with a lovely atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and the service was friendly and efficient.
We shared the ox cheeks to start, delicious. For mains, I had the lamb roast and my boyfriend had beef. All the accompaniments were delicious especially the roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese. The meats were cooked well and the gravy was divine! We also got the pigs in blankets side.
For 3 drinks, starter, side and 2 mains it came to £63. Definitely worth it for the quality. Will definitely be returning.
Beautiful atmosphere . Staff worked very hard. Really couldn't fault their hosting. Beautiful food. 10 out of 10. Was a tad cold and they lit the fire for us. Would highly recommend
Had an incredible experience here at the Hawthorn. First, the atmosphere and environment are hard to beat, transporting you back in time with upscale coziness. The food was another highlight - everything tasted amazing. And then the service was welcoming and friendly. Overall would absolutely recommend when visiting Haworth for a nicer night out.
First time visit and wasn’t disappointed, the roast beef was to die for. Tender slices of beef, homemade yorkies, plenty of superbly cooked vegetables and the best cauliflower cheese I have been tasted. Superb sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We will be back very soon. Many thanks for an excellent first class experience
Lovely, quirky little restaurant.
Great food, highly recommend the braised oxcheeks and the sirloin steak.
Great range of drinks and cocktails. I thoroughly recommend the Stout and Cinder Toffee espresso martini.
All in all, highly recommended.
Just no complaints. Superb! The fish board is awesome. The steaks are sublime and every member of the service staff so pleasant. Credit to the restaurant manager Masie for running a very efficient service and all the kitchen staff for excellent food and presentation... this place is near Michelin standard. Just book and enjoy.
Went for the crispy Ox cheek to start and then the Chowder this time, and what a choice, it was out of this world.
This place is absolutely amazing made even better with the surprising value for money 👌
Without doubt the best traditional Sunday Lunch I’ve ever had. It’s rare to find a Sunday lunch of this quality in which every single element has had such care and attention put into it. The beef is absolutely incredible but the highest praise is for the cauliflower cheese, wow! Incredible. The Ox Cheek starter was memorable as was the incredible Malbec we had with the meal. An iconic dinner on an iconic street in gods own country. Perfection.
Fantastic ambience. Fairly lights, candles and log burner, making it a beautiful and cosy restaurant. Food was full of flavour and reasonably priced. Staff are welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
Highly recommend. Book ahead, as very busy
