My boyfriend and I booked in for the Sunday roast after his friend had recommended it. It's a cosy place with a lovely atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and the service was friendly and efficient.
We shared the ox cheeks to start, delicious. For mains, I had the lamb roast and my boyfriend had beef.
Beautiful atmosphere . Staff worked very hard. Really couldn't fault their hosting. Beautiful food. 10 out of 10. Was a tad cold and they lit the fire for us. Would highly recommend
Had an incredible experience here at the Hawthorn. First, the atmosphere and environment are hard to beat, transporting you back in time with upscale coziness. The food was another highlight - everything tasted amazing. And then the service was welcoming and friendly. Overall would absolutely recomm

Without doubt the best traditional Sunday Lunch I’ve ever had. It’s rare to find a Sunday lunch of this quality in which every single element has had such care and attention put into it. The beef is absolutely incredible but the highest praise is for the cauliflower cheese, wow! Incredible. The Ox C
Fantastic ambience. Fairly lights, candles and log burner, making it a beautiful and cosy restaurant. Food was full of flavour and reasonably priced. Staff are welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
Highly recommend. Book ahead, as very busy
