First time in very friendly and staff always on hand if you need anything. My mates said the food is great, all cooked to order. Not to dear.

Stopped on a cycling trip. Absolutely exceptional find. Really delicious food. We had the open fish sandwich with herring, smoked salmon, salmon pate, tuna and marie rose sauce followed by delicious scones and great coffee. Very friendly staff. Everything on the menu and all the cakes looked delicious. Will definitely return.

We loved the cheese scones mmm and the jam. Good atmosphere. Very busy quite quick service. The coffee wasn't to our liking, needed sugar for it to taste better and had far too much froth and we felt like we only had half a cup of coffee each. Shame coz we like the place.

Excellent place for coffee, best scones in the borders and lovely homemade soups. It also has a huge shop with lots of unusual gift ideas and is all run by a lovely local couple. Well worth a visit!

The best staff, Ruth and Simon making the most of the current situation with great takeaway coffees, scones, fresh fruit, veg, quiches. You can have your scone already buttered and jammed if need be. Delivery service as well, all with a smile and great customer service. The shop is now open as well.

There is a really, really good cook within these walls. I've only eaten here a handful of times but each time has been an absolute joy. Generous portions, great value and very friendly staff. Judging by the number of folk in here today I am not the only person to appreciate the cooking, coupled with a relaxed riverside environment. Plenty of art, cards and nick-nacks to tempt one.

Lovely little spot that I stopped on the way to Duns. Cafe is excellent and some very nice cakes! Sadly the view isn't what it used to be I suspect due to the flood defences being put in place. Worth popping into!

Lovely place - great coffee and home baking in the spacious tearoom area which is as the name promises, right on the edge of the Teviot. The shop has a great selection of high quality local handcrafted items, and there's also a wee delicatessen selling a good variety of interesting foodstuffs, and really gorgeous loose vegetables.

Beautiful stuff for sale at cheap prices especially the hand made gifts, bags and jewellery. Big choice of furniture and things for the home. Lovely place to sit and have a coffee and cake at the back. Excellent staff, I love this shop!

This was my second visit to The Riversedge and again it didn't disappoint. A really excellent cafe hidden away, but on a main road through Hawick, on the banks of the river Teviot. Serves a great selection of food, including some traditional Scottish dishes. Caters for all foodie choices. Really friendly service. They also have deli to the front of the building and sell a great selection of local Arts and Crafts. From a purely selfish point of view I hope it remains Hawicks best kept secret!

Called in on the off chance of being allowed in with 2 small dogs and was very pleased with the reception we received. Had a delicious lunch, vegetable soup and crusty bread! Would thoroughly recommend
