Super friendly little place, excellent all home-made food and relaxing atmosphere in this lovely spot that manages to be a cafe, book and rug shop in one go! Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians as well as yummy cakes.

The best bean burger I've eaten in ages, and we get thru a fair few. Lovely fresh salad and the aubergine and tahini dip was just right. Fab cake and great coffee. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Well done peeps 🖒

A veritable haven of cakes and books, peace and quiet. And some comfy chairs. I could spend all day in here. Highly recommended!

Lovely setting. Feels like an old book shop. So cosy. The chai latte and soup and Guinness cake were brilliant. Very attentive friendly staff

Recently re-opened, as good as ever. Good distancing between tables, stylish effectively placed screens hardly noticeable, look as if they're part of the fabric of the place. Tables disinfected between customers. Try the Guinness and chocolate cake - delicious.

What a lovely little cafe! Food was lovely (meze & panini) as was the Latte and Chai - even got to have a very brief drum - great dog friendly place, where our two boxers felt really at home and completely relaxed. The treasure trove of books was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Such a fabulous place, not to be missed if you're in Hawick. Lovely menu and some gorgeous cakes. Wonderful coffee menu too, thoroughly enjoyed a Turkish Coffee as well as the Arabic coffee.

After a long walk following a fruitless fishing trip we found this little cafe. Cakes were delicious and the team were very welcoming even though we had dogs and wellies. Always worth seeking out the non franchise independent cafes, plus books a few rugs ( like a busman’s holiday 😊).

It's my fav place in hawick for breakfast or lunch. Great gluten free, dairy free options too. The decor is thoughtful and is very homey, esp the back part of the cafe nestled between the walls of books.
