Had Sunday lunch here, huge portions, tasted great, great service.
The triple roast was fantastic, and my brownie dessert was one of the best.
My wife had the roast chicken, and couldn’t eat it all, still found room for most of a boozy Black Forest sundae, I the pleasure of helping on that one, and it was delicious.
Excellent food. We had the lambs liver and it was extremely tasty. We then shared the rhubarb trio (crumble & real custard & ice cream & flan). Superb - tastiest pudding ever and definitely enough for two.
Popped in for a pint with the family after a lovely walk, friendly staff and good selection of beers.
Beer garden wasn’t open at the time. We set out the front, would’ve been nice to have been able to sit in the beer garden but may do with outside in the sun.
Went for birthday meal, bit disappointed, good but nothing special. Lovely staff.
My soup was stone cold and had to be sent back. Vegan pie was very good.
We’ve been coming to Hawes for the last 13 years & have never had a bad meal yet. Twice last week we ate in the pub, first night steak pie, so much meat, which was rich & succulent, a huge portion. 2nd time the Halibut, cooked to perfection & the blue cheese complimented the fish beautifully. We shared the Rhubarb trio desert, the crumble was so light & delicate, the brûlée was so moorish. The rhubarb ice cream was a delight. The staff are really friendly & chatty & great service. One not to miss when in Hawes but make sure you book!
Went on a Sunday afternoon. Had a roast dinner which was delicious, however 1 more slice of meat would have been welcome. Menu was very brief, only really offering roasts for adults. Table next to us ordered children's meals as a result. The roast was genuinely lovely though.
A fantastic pub to stay in, or dine or drink. The location is central to Hawes town and we found free parking each of our four days near the pub. The room was clean, comfortable and accepted our cavapoo. The staff were all super friendly, welcoming and funny. The food was creative, delicious and exciting. The ales were of the area, Theakston, and others very good too
Unfortunately, previous to our meal, I had one of those 24hr tummy bugs but as it was my 70th birthday we went out for a meal. I struggled a bit (unusually) but my partner had the same fish course as me. She said it was lovely and although I was still ill, I had to agree - it was. So full marks to The White Heart for an excellent meal and the service was second to none.
Very good indeed. Warm, friendly, and efficient service; the food is excellent, and in generous portions - make sure you come with a healthy appetite.

Fabulous pub in the centre of Hawes. Dog friendly in the bar area. Called for lunch on Saturday. Very nice! Good service.
Come here for dinner on our annual autumn holiday in The Dales, always had great food with friendly service.
Went for a meal after one of the caravan & motorhome staff suggested when I asked wich pub for a meal, her favourite white hart, true to the word, so we went back on Sunday night to enjoy another meal, well done chef also staff very friendly, would highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, great food, wonderful landlady. we will be back just for the pie 😋😋
Super pub with great wines & beer. Staff were really lovely and went out of their way to make my husbands meal as gluten free as possible with 2 delicious GF rolls stuffed with juicy pulled beef with onion gravy. My steak and ale pie was packed with tender steak and fabulous chunky chips! Highly recommend - wish we had a local like this! We will be back!

A little stop off for a meal with my wife at the White Hart Inn. We checked out the reviews which looked great and gave it a try. We were not disappointed.
If you’re passing through Hawes then this place is well worth a stop off for food. Some of the tastiest and well cooked food out there.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Dogs are welcome.
Stayed overnight and eat in the pub. The food was wonderful.
We will book again. Very happy with our visit to the White Hart and Hawes.
