Great pub, great beer - especially the baa baa and a top notch barmaid 'sally' - best boozer in hawes!!
Absolutely superb!
Had a 5 day stay in Hawes and discovered this place on our second night, and came again on on our fourth and last night. Everything is faultless. From the moment you arrive you know you're in for a treat! The selection of beers/ ales and wines is more than what you'd expect, even though you're in Yorkshire and the bar and restaurant proved great surroundings. The food here is incredible...on both nights, we had 2-3 course meals which were superb!
Couldn't recommend this place enough.
Can thoroughly recommend this place for an evening meal, food is exceptional....try the ox cheek served on horseradish mash....... The Hosts and staff are friendly and helpful. Delightful.....we will be revisiting when time allows. :-)

Fabulous hospitality great rooms & food definitely worth a review , from a sandwich at lunch to slow braised pulled beef in the evening not forgetting the picturesque village of hawes � great

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Great pub. Literally the only thing I don't like is the non-restaurant end used to be cosy and traditional. It's now had a very chain pub style makeover and some really poor furniture choices with a load of bar stools and tall tables facing the wall. If I want to stare at a wall I'll stay at home.
Had a great evening meal here. Cooked by people who totally know what they’re doing. Staff were friendly and efficient. There’s a restaurant and a smaller bar area. Ate in the bar area which had same menu and same atmosphere. Loved it.
Genuinely nice atmosphere, service was very professional, the sort you would get in a restaurant not a pub. Very attentive and very courteous. Food was amazing on two occasions, never disappointed and positions were huge. I would recommend trying out their food if you are visiting Hawes for a meal. A little on the expensive side, but you do get good food. Dog friendly pub as well.
Staff were attentive and polite. Food was amazing. Pretty full. Menu price structure interesting. Expensive mains, medium deserts, quite cheap drinks.
Very nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. I would highly recommended this place to eat. Lovely home cooked food. If the accommodation is as good it would be a great place to stop off.
We didn't stay, just had drinks. Place was packed and people waiting for tables. Definitely book in advance if youre dining. Very popular spot, for good reason.

We enjoyed a delightful meal here after a long day of walking, grateful for the cosy pub atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. We were greeted and served throughout our meal with warmth and humour and the food here was truly exceptional. I enjoyed the lamb, which was beautifully cooked to melt-in-the-mouth perfection, with the most gorgeous jus to accompany it (trust me - I could have drunk this on its own and been very happy haha). Every element on every plate at the table was thoroughly enjoyed, with plates practically licked clean by the end! My dairy-free sister was grateful for the selection of plant-based options, especially the desserts (the lemon posset was incredible!!) Would wholeheartedly recommend the White Hart to anyone staying in the area for a fabulous meal and some lovely walks to pair with a visit here too! Thank you.

Experienced all four seasons with the weather, but the welcome followed by the food & hospitality more than made up for it.
Comfortable room & bed (plus a few drinks) ensured a good nights sleep.
Highly recommended.

Had the best time ever at the White Hart Inn last night with my family, after a long journey for our weekend away trip it was exactly what we needed and truly hit the spot. For drinks we ordered a blackberry gin & tonic, pint of aspall cider and a pint of lime and soda. For mains we got two burgers, one with Wensleydale cheese and the mushroom and ale pie. All the mains were scrummy and we are gladly going back tonight for dinner as well to try other options on their menu! For dessert, we had two trio of autumn fruits, which consisted of a blackberry and pear crumble with custard (of course), a cinnamon and pear crème brûlée, and a scoop of ice cream - we loved the variety that this dessert offered and was delish. We also got one sticky toffee pudding which was luxurious!!! If you are in the area for a trip, just driving through, or anywhere near, you have to come here!!!! The staff were so lovely and kind and the location is right in the heart of Hawes, so lots of free parking around right near the inn.
We had food at the White Hart Inn on a couple of nights while staying in Hawes and it was delicious, good service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Our second time here. We had a lovely evening meal, Pan-fried halibut, beautifully cooked and presented and two bottles of wine. The service was first class but when we came to pay they had missed a bottle of wine off. My husband told them and they adjusted the bill to include the wine but managed to make us feel like we were complaining, not the opposite, no smiling face and not a hint of a thank you for being honest. Came away with not a good feeling. Such a shame.

The triple roast was fantastic, and my brownie dessert was one of the best.
My wife had the roast chicken, and couldn’t eat it all, still found room for most of a boozy Black Forest sundae, I the pleasure of helping on that one, and it was delicious.
Called into this cosy hostelry with a friend last Saturday. Had an excellent lunch, the portions were large and tasty.
