What can I say , the perfect chip shop. Quality, quantity, freshness, choice. I shared a battered Cumberland sausage and chips , my wife had cod and 1/2 a portion of chips ( what a superb idea)
You can also get scraps !! Heaven .. Well done the chippie. Some of the est I've ever had .

Excellent little chippy. We visit a lot of fish and chip shops while out on the motorbike, and this is up there with the best I've been to. Highly recommended. Gets very very busy but service is quick.

Picked a busy day to visit and therefore the queues were massive, but just looking at the fish n chips that passed us by was enough, and the smell of them freshly cooked was driving us mad. Decided we couldn’t wait and so was going to set off when a chap offered me a taste of his, delicious indeed a
Truthfully the best fish and chips I've had in years... I'm guessing it's down to cooking in beef dripping. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, fish had batter with fabulous crunch. Also has a lovely waitress who was exceptionally patient with our excitable children. Lovel
Just passing and feeling hungry so went in. Takeaway section separate to cafe section. Nice nautical decor. Staff friendly and food very good. The deep fried Wednesleydale was lovely. Very generous portions and good value for money.
Quite possibly the best fish and chips we have eaten in a long while. Fish was rich and not drowned in batter whilst chips were tasty and not too oily. Great place for a family to visit after a long walk. Absolutely delicious!
The best chips and gravy ever. The chips had a lush, crunch and soft inside, like double fried chips..The gravy was super beefy like sauce in a steak pie. Highly recommended if you're in Hawes.

Amazing!. 20 out of 10! Travelled around 100 mile round trip to taste them. Perfect all cooked in beef dripping, traditional Yorkshire way. See you again.
