Chris’s Fish And Chip Shop - Hawarden - Photo album

Stumbled on this place by accident on the way home and OMG!!! absolutely delicious, if your after proper fish and chips freshly prepared in front of you this place is a must, not a commercialized place that doesn't care about quality. Hidden treasure!!!
Formerly a grocery shop. Opened as a Fish & Chip shop by Mr & Mrs Hughes in 1970s Been updated with an apartment above , still selling lovely Fish & Chips
Always delicious and hot and also cater for my gluten free daughter. Always very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my fish and chips, so thanks girls 👏😄
Great to see a chippy with gluten free options. I can have exactly the same as my partner just gluten free. Staff are lovely and food is delicious. Always consistent with quality.
Amazing! I would come up every weekend from London for these fish and chips if I could. Generous portions, fair prices, lovely service from Chris and her daughter - not to mention the brilliant and tasty fish, chips and mushy peas that we had tonight. If you're in the area (or even if you're not), t
Really nice fish and chunky chips. The curry sauce is also great too, fruity and flavoursome. Yes the portion is a bit smaller than the rediculous amount of chips you get from the Chinese down the road, but the food is so much nicer. I will definitely be coming back here next time we fancy fish and
I have no idea what the first reviewer is on about. The place is immaculately clean and freshly decorated. Our meal was freshly cooked to order when we arrived. The chunky chips were crisp and delicious and the fish done to perfection and very tasty. Mouthwatering pieces of falling apart, flaky whit
Phoned an order through which was ready to collect as soon as we walked in. The lightly Battered Cod was just that, the fish was huge and tasted absolutely lovely. The chips were fresh and tasted good. Overall the 3 meals were lovely, thank you Chris & Rhian x
I used to visit this chip shop in my school days (it's close to Hawarden High) and since then it's been revamped. The chips are amazing; the menu is simple and all sounds delicious and they do gluten free options which is awesome. One minor quibble would be that the curry sauce is way too thick but
Had fish 🐠 and chips. Absolutely delightful!! I agree with other reviews - probably the best chippy in the area.
It's a great place. It's consistently good quality, good value and customer service is excellent. However, I have absolutely no idea what's going on with the opening times. I think it's better to phone before you go there!
Fish and fishcake were very nice, the chips although very tasty seemed as if they had been reheated. The curry sauce is very nice traditional fruity sauce with quite a spicy kick.
Found this place on google and thought we would give it a go regardless of the mixed reviews. Staff were great, really nice and chatty. Chips were AMAZING and didn’t wait long for our food either. The place is spotlessly clean with easy parking just out side. 5 star and my new local chippy.
Lovely fish and chips but really frustrating when it says that they are open on website and you travel further than usual to get gluten free food but find they are closed.
Best fish I've ever tasted from a chip shop, truly delicious, but they need to sack off the chunky chips, nowhere near naughty-tasting enough, rather spuddy and stodgy, disappointing. Making me consider getting chips from the chippy in Ewloe and fish from here!
