This is hands down the very best Chinese take away I've had the absolute pleasure to order from. It's a pure gem! So glad to have found it. I drive 21 minutes to get this take away and I'd happily drive an hour if needs be, The food is flawlessly delicious and extremely moreish. Portion sizes are very perfect and generous! There is so much care that goes into each dish, the flavour is outstanding and It's obvious the establishment cares a lot about the quality and the brilliant food. There's a good reason for all of these great reviews! Also, customer service is top notch and the lovely people at the counter go the extra mile to make their customers happy.
A few of my many many favourites from here:
Deep fried crispy beef is just perfect, so crunchy and delicious, just the way it's supposed to be, I also hugely recommend the "good luck special chow main"and the "Smoked Chicken". In fact, the list goes on and on and on. I actually recommend every single dish but I can't list them all, you'll have to go try them for yourself! :)
If you try "good luck" one time, it will be your favourite Chinese take away forever!

Excellent! Lovely lady took my order and our takeaway, set menu for two was ready 10 mins later. We took it back to Thaxted (a 25 minute drive) and it was still hot when we got back. Delicious!
Absolutely amazing Chinese food the very best one in the entire area. Very recently made the mistake of going to the other Chinese, which is very close by due to our “good luck” being closed. All I can tell you is the other Chinese, that we had was average at best. Good Luck Chinese is probably the best Chinese Takeaway I’ve ever been to!
Another thing I’ve noticed is the few one star reviews, are left by very questionable accounts. As you can see the review with every left one review. There is no chance on Earth. Anybody would leave good luck Chinese 1 star, because they hugely care about the food quality. So personally think the one star reviews are fake and buy competitor…
Either way absolutely outstanding Chinese food from Good Luck and I am a complete foodie. I’ve been to many Chinese takeaways and restaurants thus far in my life, and this is one of the very top for tasty Chinese food, coupled with very reasonable prices and great portions sizes in the country.
Had the Thai green curry, egg fried rice and mini spring rolls. Really can't fault it. Curry was quite sweet but really tasty and spicy. Chicken was nice and tender. Would order again. Cheers.
The staff are polite and friendly. I love the size of portions and I have never had disappointing meal from there.
Good value for money too. Bag of prawn crackers are always offered and accepted because we just love them!

The Best Chinese Food we’ve ever had! These guys are Incredible!!! If they were closer to where we lived, we would eat there every day!!! Thank you for Fantastic service & Incredible Food!!! Best of the Best!!!
So since moving locally this is the 4th Chinese takeaway we as a family of 5 have tried. Have to say food was really tasty, Hong Kong pork and crispy chilli beef were the highlights. We will order from here from now on. Only one point to say which could be improved was we got collection and was told 20-25mins, I arrived at on-time and waited an additional 15 mins in the front of the shop.
Shopping in Haverhill and had a real craving for Chinese. Best reviews so checked this place out. Not great for parking but the food definitely made up for it!!
Served by a lovely polite man, food was ready quickly and was still really hot by the time I'd driven back to Finchingfield.
Food was great, not too oily, very tasty and plenty of it.
Will definitely be back and 100% recommend.
As Haverhill's premier Chinese takeaway, Good Luck has served consistently high quality, delicious and hearty food every single time I've had it in the past 25 years of my life. In fact, when I've eaten Chinese from any other restaurant or takeaway, it is never even a fraction as good as my favourite local takeaway.
Offering authentic Chinese flavours with a British twist, there is a variety of dishes to choose from and is something for everyone - even the fussiest of eaters (although I must definitely recommend their Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls. Yummy!)
The best Chinese takeaway we have found in Haverhill always fresh and quickly prepared. Extensive menu and very friendly staff. What’s not to like, give these guys a try
Menu is good, family who runs it are British Chinese, and very friendly. The owner is also a local councillor and does a lot for the good of the town.
Food is always freshly made, and service is as quick as it can be. Very busy on bank holidays but you can order in advance, even the day or so before.
Beautiful food! Ordered on Xmas Eve when they were clearly busy but we received everything we ordered cooked perfectly. The squid was my favourite ❤️
