Loved it here. Matt and his customers made us so welcome. The food was superb and well priced. You have to try the pineapple upside down cake..... Haven't had in years and it was lovely. Thanks to Matt and the team
First visit, not to be our last, lovely meal and good service nice selection of beer too.
Staff so friendly, fresh food cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced, thoroughly recommend.
Didnt have food, went for a pint and to see a local band play out the back. It was an amazing night.
Absolutely fantastic. Are as a group of 10, everyone was stuffed and thought their meal was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, did a delicious vegan meal just for me. Probably the best pub meal ( vegan) I’ve ever had.
Beautiful Sunday lunch thank you Mathew and staff, spot on 👍😁
Today we have had the BEST Sunday Roast dinner ever, it was second to none. Hubby had lamb which melted in the mouth, son had beef which was beautiful and tender and I had the vegetarian mushroom and brie pie which was amazing. All served with Yorkshire puds, the guys had pigs in blankets, I had stu
Fantastic pub. Excellent quality food, quality range of drinks and a real village friendly atmosphere
Great little village pub, and food was excellent
Excellent……thank you! We’ve eaten twice here this week as we’re in the village on holiday. Lovely gammon/ curry/scampi and fish all with chips on a Friday. My son had booked the four of us for Mother’s Day Sunday lunchtime. The best roast dinners I’ve had in a pub….the roasties and gravy in particul
Warm welcome by friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, Great food! Healthy portions!!! Improved menu available now. Great Surf'n'turf 😋
Really excellent food. Don't be put off by the slightly 70's plates. The chicken Diane was amazing and the chef actually serves jam Roly poly in a bowl with an adequate amount of custard, not on a plate with a thimbleful like most places.
Fab food, attentive staff, reasonably priced
We had four different meals and each was great and the service was friendly. We can personally recommend the curry, quiche, steak, chicken Diane, chocolate brownies and jam rolly Polly. Disabled access for a powered chair was difficult so we ate outside.
Lovely meal as usual at The Cottage. We live locally and know we can rely on Matthew and his team to cook and serve great food. Good to have them back and in full swing.
Good sized portions of very well cooked food, nicely presented. The beer selection wasn't wide but at least they had a local brew on. Staff friendly and the place is spotless.
I was staying in the village for a few nights so had our meals and beers in this pub. Very welcoming with great service and food. Reasonable prices too.
