Extremely lovely welcoming manager and staff, so attentive and helpful. Lamb Roast expertly prepared and delicious, other food looked just as good. Nice bit of Easter decor including small chocolate eggs on the bar and a fresh flower on the table. No Roasts on Summer menu. BBQ some Sundays during Summer.

Favourite local since 1999. Changed hands a few times, but today's management seem to have struck a balance. The place was packed this evening on a Friday, so good to see.

Good local pub. The pub itself is very old with low door ways in places - lots of character. A great beer garden with plenty of seating, a section is covered which would be useful for smokers when raining. Great selection of drinks at a reasonable prices.

Didn't eat but the food looked great, the beer and bar staff were exceptional. Definitely a place to revisit and give the food a go, I've been told by friends it's well worth another visit to do so!

Visited on a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon. The pub has an incredible amount of character, owing to it being a 17th century pub in the heart of Havant. Anyone visiting the area really owes it to themselves to visit! This historic building comes complete with authentic beams, low ceilings, a beautiful bar and the welcome, cosy addition of LED light strings to complement the area. The staff were lovely; very friendly and willing to chat. The toilets were pleasant-smelling and clean, if only a tad small, but that comes with the character of the building so it can't be helped! This is a Fuller's pub, so the food offerings are a tad more refined than the average "pub grub", but not so much that they seem snobbish. I had one of the chef's specials - Scampi and chips - which was spot on in terms of temperature, taste and presentation. My partner was also very happy with his Chalcroft Farm beef burger. I can't so much comment on the drinks selection, as I am certainly no expert.

Loved it! Will be back! Roaring fire, oldy worldy with all the old beams and low ceilings. Very tasty and extremely generous portions of food delivered to our table in a very timely manner

Nice pub with a good size beer garden and pleasant staff, I ordered burger and chips for £16, chips were lovely and the burger was well presented, but the beef patty itself was not great at all. Shame

Always used to love this pub , not in there as much as I was when younger, not changed much over the years, live music sat when I was last last, which I always enjoy, had food many times during the day and it's always cooked very nice, staff very helpful and friendly, always a good welcoming atmosphere,

First off, this pub is pricey, almost £7 for a large wine. The nearby Robin Hood was a £1 cheaper for the same round of drinks and they are both Fullers pubs ? HSB was good but the pub lacks the intimacy of the Robin Hood. The pub is the oldest in Havant and is quaint, two bars and staff were ok. Just a pricey experience for no real reason. Knocked a star off due to value for money.

Really enjoyable pub quiz in a great location. The only negative was the lack of non-alcoholic cider options for those who are driving
