Lovley food great service even though we were in the busy Sunday lunch period our friendly cheerful waitress was attentive and service was fast . The best creme brûlée ;) and do nice as a vegetarian to have a decent choice of main meals . Def going back
We sat in the beer garden in the sunshine yesterday, the gardens were well kept and the borders were flourishing, had a lovely lunch, which wasn’t that expensive although the drinks were a tad bit pricey, the staff were very friendly and the food was served within 30 mins of ordering, would we come back here again? Most definitely

Me and my partner were gifted their 6 course meal taster menu and have to say we were not disappointed. Restaurant was beautifully decorated, staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was served on time and a perfect amount of time was left between each course. Will definitely be going back soon!
Great food and good selection. Staff really helpful, polite and friendly. There is wheelchair access but seating options maybe limited as the pub does have different levels (stairs) inside and this would be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. Parking for approximately 20 cars. I would recommend this place but I have dropped it 1 star as its really expensive. A starter & main with 1 diet Coke was £33 🤔
What a fantastic dinner experience. We ordered their 6 course taster menu and I have to say the food was amazing. I've tried many taster menus in my time and this was by far the best value, it tasted great and the staff were attentive and friendly. I have included some photos of each course - they were all very generous but they did not sacrifice quality for quantity. As a treat for the other half and as a double date night with friends it is one I would definitely pick again.

I booked a Groupon voucher for a 6 course tasting menu for two people. Well worth the money. I would recommend it. Portion size is great!
The only thing is the menu on the Groupon show more of a variety of dishes but there was less to choose from at the location. There is still a choice.
The food we had was very tasty and couldn’t fault it along with very polite staff. The only issue we had was 4 different staff waiting on the table,which led drinks unfortunately not turning up and having to ask for the bill several times. We would still recommend this restaurant though .
Always driven past this place without stopping! What a mistake that was. Tried near all of the other restaurant options nearby and hadn’t been too impressed. The wheatsheaf is great, but this place is next level - best in the area without a doubt. The food options, service and atmosphere are outstanding. Thank you - I will be back.
Booked a table on a Sunday at 18:45. Not sure we were told on booking that food orders needed to be in by 19:00. Would have been nice to have a bit more time. Starters were nice. My Veg Wellington main was not particularly tasty. Dessert was nice.
Chairs sunk down a bit so had to use a cushion.
Giving credit to the restaurant, the food is outstanding, we had the sharer steak and it was quite unreal.
The care to allergies and general attention to detail is also top notch.
The only reason for the lack of full 4 star review is due to a poor display from the waitresses when issuing the bill and general handling of the situation. Fortunately this was resolved and ended in a satisfactory evening.

We went for the 6 course taster menu and it was lovely. Cooked perfect and very tasty. The broccoli and pea soup was the best soup I've tasted. Was excellent value for money and the setting and ambience was lovely too. The staff were also perfect - friendly and attentive without being too fussy and in your face. Would return again and would definitely recommend to others.

After visiting this restaurant on a Groupon offer we decided to revisit with friends and it did not disappoint.

So many fantastic dishes on the menu it's difficult to choose! I'd recommend the meatballs to start, ribs for main and ice cream sundae for dessert. The service was great and the atmosphere lovely.

The redesigned garden area is very welcoming and the team that served us were friendly and professional. Highly recommended for a nice pims on a sunny day or a great meal, our food was amazing, served quickly and great value.
I can't stress enough how good the team are here, the waitresses are knowledgeable, immaculately presented and are key to the high standards here. Probably going to end up eating my way through the menu, you can switch between the a la carte and standard menu as you want, the range of good food here is amazing. We were having a cheeky look at the other dinners being presented and they all looked amazing.
We visited on Saturday night for our anniversary dinner, the food was lovely I had the sea bass couldn't fault it. My only criticism would be that it was rushed between the courses we had no gap at all between the starters and main course
Wow what a lovely place. Food was soooo good, service was amazing and the extra personal touch for it being our 20th anniversary was so thoughtful. Couldn’t fault the evening at all. Highly recommend xx
Only stopped for a drink but this place suprised me how lovely the decor was. Exposed beams and multiple levels with nooks to hide away in if you want to keep yourself to yourself. Will definitely be back for some food soon.
