This a lovely place, filled with the most amount of board games I have ever seen. Worth a stop and play if board games are your thing. Food is delicious too. Hastings Beach Meditation group go there every Sunday after meditating on the beach

We only had a few days to spend in Hastings, and as I huge board game fan, I went crazy as soon as I've found out there was a friendly board game cafe next door. So, even though we didn't have much time (and the beautiful weather kept us outdoors rather than playing games - damn you, sun! haha) we visited Gary's most welcoming board game cafe to have lunch bite. Even though the food didn't take too long at all (leaving me some time to look through his awesome collection), Gary surprised us with a quick game to pass the time which a was super nice gesture. He even explained how it worked and we had some genuine laughs. The food was great and made to order (the vegan options are really exquisite!) just as the smoothies. Also surprisingly cheap, so make sure you leave s generous tip for him to grow his board game collection. 😉 My partner had to rush back to work while I remained to discuss some cooperative game suggestions of his. Even though there are plenty of options in London, I still cannot wait to visit Hastings soon again and give those game a go - and even play with Gary himself if we is not too busy. 😄

What an amazing place to play board games, have a drink and maybe some food with friends or family. It can get very busy here, but that's a really good sign. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our visit, the selection of board games is massive, including many recent titles, and well organized (and you can buy games here too), we had some lovely drinks and delicious food, all at really reasonable prices. I couldn't recommend this place any more.

We visited as a group of 5 yesterday for a birthday. We loved the concept, and as two of our party are vegans, the range of great food for them was a real plus. We expected to have a good time; we didn't expect the amazing level of service we received. The staff were engaging, fun and able to make great recommendations of party-style games that were perfect for us. They seemed to really enjoy the job. The food was excellent quality and very fairly priced. Overall we ate and drank like Kings, spent 4 hours there and it came to around £24 per head (plus an extra £6 for corkage each). Looking forward to our next visit!

Fantastic place to spend a few hours. Every board game you can imagine is on the shelves ready to play, and if you really fall in love with a game, many of them are available to buy. The owner knows the rules to every game and can reccomend a game that fits your requirements perfectly. Everything is relaxed, easy and customer foucussed. It's also a wonderful cafe, even without the board games. Clean and welcoming, with a great range of light meals plus all the usual coffee shop fare, plus toilets with a baby change. If you fancy a drink, bring your own booze and pay corkage. There's an off-licence literally opposite to get some drinks in, so a lot more affordable than a pint in an old town pub.

We had an amazing family time at this lovely board game café. Everything is well organised and well thought. I especially loved the kindness and availability of the staff (owner?), the cleanliness of the place, finding a changing table and being offered a highchair for our youngest child, and the reasonably priced vegan options (I highly recommend the mango chutney tart). Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

A unique business complete with warm atmosphere and incredible customer service from both Gary, the owner, and all the staff. Since opening shop we’ve become semi regular customers at this tucked away gem, and that is in no small part due to Gary and his incredibly friendly, helpful and insightful customer service. The cafe offers a HUGE array of games for all types of players with plenty of help on hand from the staff in making a selection so you’re sure to find something new every visit. The food and drink selection really ties the whole experience together with a menu larger than most cafes of this size all prepared to a very high quality and at reasonable prices. Overall this is one to recommend to both locals and visitors.

This was our first visit here and it was lovely, friendly, helpful staff that recommended some great games for me and my husband to play and a great selection on the menu which could all be made vegan! Felt very welcomed and enjoyed the large selection of games in offer! Looking forward to go back when in Hastings again!

Just great - such an oasis for all ages. Truly enthusiastic staff - can’t recommend enough . Went in other day and my daughter had lost a beloved toy - owner clocked it straight away and gave her a game and totally brought her out of her shell. This week she and a friend did their first ever D and D. Dear God….genie is out of the bottle. I’m also pretty sure a Delorean is involved somewhere as time just vanishes. Thanks again.

Spent a wonderful Saturday evening after dinner here. Gary picked out some perfect games and kept the place open after usual closing. Really chill atmosphere and a very good game selection. Thanks! ☺️
