The Custom House Hastings - Hastings - Photo album

Ok this is an oasis in the fish n chips desert. Visited them yesterday with my two kids. The Italian (?owner) came and welcomed us. The food is truly delicious. Had pasta with ragu, steak and fried aubergine with tomato sauce. I will definitely remember this for a long time

Fabulous bakery lots of different breads, cake, biscuits. I had a moka and a Paris Breast delicious 😋 managed to get one of the few tables outside. Definitely be coming back.
The restaurant has closed. Currently, it is a pop up bakery and patisserie called Frankovia. The bread was delicious as was the Paris Brest. The shop was well set up for social distancing making for a very safe feeling shopping experience.
The highlight has to be the cocktails! The bartender is a genius - my walnut old fashioned was the best cocktail I've ever had. The Old Custom house is small and looks lovely with its old fashioned panelling plus lots of fairy lights at the bar. Both members of staff who were serving were sweet and
At the risk of sounding like I'm a sycophant or that I'm being blackmailed,(or paid!) by the customs house management,(or indeed a combination of the above thumbscrews), I have been forced to write a review of this little gem. This is the second time in 5 months we have visited the place. Back in Ma
