Food was good value for money and good sized portions. Hard to catch the attention of the staff as only a couple working even though was dinner time and busy. Good menu choices

We went on our first family holiday at haven bit sceptical about eating out as our 1 year old has a milk allergy. This restaurant went above and beyond with making sure there was no cross contamination with my daughters food lots of options for her and even dairy free ice cream on the menu!! It was lovely to sit down and enjoy and not worry food was great customer service brilliant 🤩

Went end of march and was very pleased with everything, Mash and Barrels can be a hit and miss but this one was good. Staff were pleasant and the food was great, especially the afters, we had breakfasts, lunches and dinners, from fish and chips to burgers to pasta, it was all very nice. Prices are reasonable and what you’d expect.

Very nice camp staff not very happy lol and the atmosphere was awful and the music way to loud while eating and being disabled the toilets were way the other side of the building

The food was nice but small for the price. Service also hit and miss with the QR code, but we got there in the end.

Breakfast very lovely... Limited options for evening meals as they changed supplier and stock hadn't arrived.. Overall good service

We were a group of 7. Our table was ready upon arrival and we were early. All of the waiting staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our food arrived quickly and was hot. The Thai chicken curry was delicious and the gammon steak was cooked as I liked. All of the kids meals were a great size and the kids ate it .. which is a bonus! All round a good evening meal.

As we booked in later than expected to our caravan we decided to eat in the mash and barrel as onsite and convenient for us even though a bit hesitant due to recent reviews read on here, hadn't booked but got a table ok even tho fairly busy, our order was taken within 5mins,waited maybe 10mins for our bottle of wine to arrive and our food arrived within 10 mins after that, food was very tasty and hot,no complaints on that front, enjoyed our wine in a relaxed and unrushed manner, paid n left...very nice 1st evening onsite and will return...can't understand the negative reviews.

Excellent and quick service, staff were happy and quick to help. The took our order at the table and brought our drinks over to us. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. They only made one slip up, they forgot our side of onion rings but they apologised and promptly fixed the problem. The fish and chips was huge and could easily feed the both of us. They also serve Costa coffee and have a good range of cocktails. All the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. There are plenty of disabled access with ramps in and out. As well as plenty of room for wheelchairs to sat at a table. The toilets are located at the opposite end of the arcade to Mash and Barrel but it's all accessible. Honestly, based on the reviews, I wasn't expecting much from here. But I was presently surprised with everything.
