Knowledgeable, friendly and efficient staff. Shared a handout with us of what the different types of sustainable fish they serve, while going the extra mile to provide top notch customer service with a smile. Highly recommend a visit when you’re indulging in your seaside treat supper in Hastings!
Great cod and chips! The batter was crispy and tasty without being oily and the fish was moist and tender, cooked perfectly. The chips were well seasoned and the service was great. Recommended for a cheeky take away to eat by the beach ⛱️
Had some excellent chips from this place. Made better with onion vinegar on top. Also the adjacent cafe that is part of the same premises does a mean whippy 99 ice cream. I had an XL ice cream with the fancy cone and it was bang on.
Lovely food. Good service. Ed is very attentive. Will definitely be back when in Hastings and the weather's nice
I've travelled up and down the country and had many a fish and chips in my journeys, this is one of the best I've had.
Our meal took 8 minutes to cook but it was worth the wait, and the food is clearly fresh; fresh ingredients and freshly cooked with clean oil. The chips are crispy and fluffy, and the batter on both the fish and sausage are perfect. Make sure you do try the sausage in batter if you can fit it in. Again it's so fresh I got the feeling that they make their own sausages in the kitchen, instead of ordering it in. I wish I'd taken a photo of the food before gobbling it up, but I've at least provided the aftermath to show that's it's worth eating!
Complimentary tartare sauce and ketchup is provided in pots, which is a nice touch if you prefer to eat outside. We ate inside which was nicely decorated with modern seaside decor.
They season the chips to their taste so make sure you ask for extra vinager if that's what you prefer. It was perfect for myself but my girlfriend likes more on her chips.
This is one of the only times in recent memory where I haven't been disappointed by seaside fish and chips.
Great fish and chips sadly is very expensive for what you get. The only thing I would improve on it someone cleaning down tables more and better pricing
Fish was brilliant. Crunchy batter not oily in the slightest and chips absolutely perfect some even crunchy (plus the crunchy bits at the bottom) fish was really fresh me and my partner had rock and chips to share a bottle of fizzy drink and two pots of sauce (£15) or there abouts would defo return when we visit Hastings again
Best Fish & Chips in Hastings. The Chicken rocks are incredible, definitely a must try!
Superb staff and very happy and bubbly which is nice to see greeted us when we came in and said hope you enjoyed your meal and see you soon
Wow if your a fish and chip shop conesour head for this eaterie GOOD FISH,GOOD BATTER,GOOD CHIPS use this to judge others by .
We stopped for a fish and chips lunch (where else do you go when at the seaside?) And it was a fantastic choice. Some of the best fish and chips I've had in a long long time.
We had a piece of cod and a small battered sausage with chips between two of us and it was more than enough for two for lunch. We did have to wait quite a while for the food which was a shame (they could have said it'll be a wait) but I assume that was because it was being freshly cooked which makes it more acceptable.
The chips were fried in beef dripping and were amazing. The fish was freshly fried and very crispy but you could tell it was fresh and tasted great. The sausage was a bit on the small side but you could tell it was a good quality sausage as opposed to your standard cheap battered sausage and tasted really nice.
The meal seemed very reasonably priced (a little cheaper than what we would normally pay in Hertfordshire and although this portion was a bit smaller you paid for the quality)
The booth we ordered from didn't do hot drinks so you had to go elsewhere to get that and the service could have been quicker but it was definitely worth the wait and some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, let alone had on a British sea front!
Lovely fish and chips fresh cooked thay don't do brown sauce tho
It's Great dine in or take out cooked to order and comes in a box so easy to eat in the car .
Called in for a cup of tea and a hot chocolate on a rainy day. Lovely staff & we enjoyed our drinks.
One of the best fish and chips I have eaten in a long time. Family was a bit hesitant at first as they wanted to go to another place which we tried last time (also good). This time we had our dog with us and it worked perfect to sit out with nice benches and place to sit as a family. Ordering system is also great(vibrating device you go and pick when it’s ready). There is a cafe next to it you can also sit at the cafe and order your food as they are all under the same management. As some of the reviewers have said the chips could have been better but fish is 10/10 served with nice portion of tartare sauce.
Great ice creams, we had had one a couple of weeks ago and had not stopped talking about it so another day trip had to be organised
Fantastic fish and chips. The only problem is with the dive bombing seagulls.😂🤣
Very tasty fish and chips done the traditional way with beef dripping
Will come again
