What a fantastic place; laid back vibe, gorgeous design, delicious food, friendly staff and the best coffee in town.
I don't like banana cake, or Nutella cake. However I did adore the banana and Nutella cake from the cake room, (stole some from the boyfriend). The food was perfect, with a beautiful relaxed atmosphere, fantastic staff and cute little shop doggos. I think we have found our new local !
it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call this the best hangout in hastings. coffee's good, food is amazing and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming (even the dogs!)�� it's like Hemsley + Hemsley at the seaside ��

Cake Room is our favourite coffee shop in Hastings,Lauren and her Staff always make us feel really welcome every time we visit. which sometimes has been twice a day(cant stay away )food is excellent and beautifully served , best coffee in Hastings . good selections homemade cakes and teas. Lovely chill out atmosphere in relaxing surroundings, A nice dog friendly place to treat yourself to a coffee and something nice to eat. We always look forward our visits as we know there's always a warm friendly welcome with a smile from Lauren the owner and a cuddle from Baxter the adorable dachshund .

Finally got to experience the delights of The Cake Room yesterday and so happy with the experience! It's a beautifully designed space with wonderful features to create a unique café setting and the food and drink on offer is fantastic. Coffee was well made and perfect and we shared a HUGE slice of pear crumble cake which was absolutely delicious, not overly sweet or laden with decoration which really let the wonderful flavours and quality of baking take centre stage. My husband who is not a coffee shop or cake person even loved it! We've booked this lovely place for a baby shower next week and can't wait to enjoy everything on offer with our friends, can't wait to return! Thanks for bringing these delights to Hastings!
Been wanting to pop in since opening and finally got there today. Not dissapointed. Staff were very friendly, cake was amazing. Went for the vanilla green tea. Super nice and even came with a timer for the perfect brewing time. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely make this my hastings coffee/tea spot now. Looking forward to seeing this place develop and evolve :)

Held a private afternoon tea Hen Party here last night and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone had a fabulous time and said how lovely the food was. Huge thanks to the Cake Room for helping make it such a memorable evening.
Went to Cake Room today . Can highly recommend it . Food was excellent & not just cake but savoury too , Decor brilliant . People who run it very warm & friendly . I wish them every success .❤️

New favourite Coffee spot in Hastings UK, the recently opened 'Cake Room' on Robertson Street. Best Coffee I have had in ages, fresh ground supplied by a specialist roast house in Brighton I am told, superb home made cakes and the best music I have heard in a retail outlet in as long as I can remember, "none of the hits and more" style, 60s and very early 70s, walked in to The Seeds probably only recognised half of what I heard over the next hour (But those I did included Jimmy Smith, Don Covay and Ramsey Lewis) great place to relax and draw breath .. highly recommended, go soon, but please make sure there's a table spare should Mrs E & I decide to pop in again (And we will soon!!)

A lovely place to pop in for a relaxing drink and food from the wonderful selection offered. The almond pastries were labelled as 'the best' and they were pretty amazing! Very friendly people and beautiful decor.
The most wonderful cafe, couldn’t recommend more! The food was unreal. Tasted like it was fresh and made with genuine care. Even the bread in my sandwich and salad dressing was top notch. The best veggie options too. The loveliest staff ever. Supper friendly and community feel. Can’t express in words what a lovely cafe this is, will be back soon. Thank you so so much!!
Fabulous little cafe, tried a turmeric latte along with a slice of home made cake. It’s always a pleasure to find little independent cafes run by passionate about what they do people!!!!
What a fantastic cafe. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Not only is the food incredible, but the staff are so accommodating. They kindly let 6 of us eat which meant bringing out an extra table. Nothing was an issue for the staff and they just wanted to help and ensure everything was perfect. The food quality is a 10/10. I will absolutely be telling everyone about The Cake Room and will be going back as quickly as I can! A must visit.
The Cake Room is 5 stars from the moment you walk in; with an amazingly relaxed atmosphere, the Cake Room is decorated with so much greenery that even on a dull day your mood is lifted. Then when it comes to the food everything is hand made to perfection, at a very reasonable price, which is complimented by the excellent service. I will definitely be visiting again.
Best coffee shop for dog lovers! They have a resident dog who is super cute. Man behind the till was lovely and friendly. Delicious coffee and cake.

Perfect! We have been going there for years and absolutely love it! Baxter the resident dog is ❤️ and the pecan thingy I sometimes request is the best thing ever created in the whole of the universe. Absolute recommend!
Beverages, cakes, pastries and sandwiches is what you will find here. My son loved the carrot cake. The iced chaï late was delicious. They don't have a baby chair but my child was free to wander around. The staffs were friendly. Great place to have a break.
