Really great fish’n chips. Fish super tender, juicy and fresh. Great special offer on monday evenings - duper large portion for a pretty decent price (13,50€) including a drink. Really enjoyed the place.

Stopped in cause it was pouring outside. Eaten here before but just wanted something small. Have whitebait starter and it was massive. Wife had hummus and said it was really great, came with celery and bread. Nice inside and locals were good value with their chat.

The Dolphin Inn is one of the better traditional pubs along the Hastings promenade, located on the other side of the street in the harbour area (or what's left of it) and its famous Fishermen's Net Huts. The "large selection of real ales", as it says on the marquee outside, amounted to four cask ales on tap during my visit. The pub is very cozy and "colorful", with plenty of memorabilia and traditional tools connected to local fishing spread throughout. There's also a small outside seating area where you can relax if the wind is not too strong on the day. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, plenty of local punters about. Good for a pub lunch after a visit to the harbour area or Hastings Contemporary or the Fishermen's Museum, all of which are very close by. Civil prices, too.

Went in for a few drinks for my sisters birthday. The staff were nice and friendly, though maybe a bit dim and dark in the pub itself.

Lovely little pub to pop in for a bit of lunch. As you can see I had the fish and chips, what was nice is you had a choice of 2 different fish to choose from (can’t remember what one I choose, but it wasn’t cod) now I would say that I’m not really a fan of fish, but when in Rome and all that lol But I would have to say it was lovely and very reasonably priced, the alcoholic beverage that I had was like anywhere else in the country, but also wasn’t over priced. Had a lovely chat with a couple of the staff and they were lovely and friendly, the atmosphere was great, your welcomed as if your a local. Would I definitely go back there if I’m back down in Hastings “Yes I would” Also for me it was a great place to sit outside the front of the pub with a drink and watch the world go by. I lovely pub run by lovely people.

Went in with a young man I support. Food was fantastic, service great and friendly people in here. Because of his disability, the young man I support has issues with certain food so they catered for this with no issues, no drama.

Been coming here for over a decade when on a trip to Hastings and the food and ale is always top notch. They always have a really interesting choice of specials on each day and a really great standard menu as well. The pub also hosts regular live music sessions including folk music.

Haven't tried food but looked really appetising. Good selection of well kept cask ales. Great small outdoor space at the front of the pub where you can watch seagulls trying to steal scraps from fisherman. Friendly staff and lovely interior. Will come back.

Had a lovely but tiring Aug bank holiday Saturday driving down from London via Tonbridge and Battle and discovering the Hastings pier etc. Was walking along old town after dinner, listening to the peppy DJ music and passing the bustling crowds at many venues, and pondering which pub to enter for a quick drink before calling it a night, when I heard distant rock beats of a live band. Was so glad I chanced upon this gem of a pub near Maggie's. My exhaustion was blown away and I didn't even realise how the next 3 hours flew by at The Dolphin Inn, a quirky pub - drinking awesome beer paddles, dancing and singing along to the energetic and non stop vocals of a local band from Battle known as "Brenda's Girl". Every other song I was either enthralled by the drummer, or by the blokes on the guitars, or by the lead singer and it's like they fed off and spurred each other and the crowd on. Want planned and needless to say I ended up crashing late, but oh what a memorable night..
