Great atmosphere, really friendly staff and the chips we had were super tasty (amazing smokey ketchup!), food served till late. Huge gin selection (half an A4 pages worth!), I've never ordered a G&T so I feel I couldn't have picked a better place. I had Monkey 47 with Mediterranean Fever Tree tonic & a slice of cucumber, delicious! Definitely recommend and really want to go back to try out the whole menu!

I liked the pub very much, it had a good atmosphere and was warm and comfortable, although it was like being in a London gastropub rather than a Hastings local. That is not so much a criticism as a bit unexpected. The food was really very good and we all enjoyed it except for my Christmas pud which was rather dry and unexciting. When the bar staff saw that I had left half of it they immediately took the charge off our bill, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were all friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend it for an enjoyable evening out. We will certainly go again!

On a freezing day by the sea we nipped into here for a pint and our dog Bertie was fussed by all the customers he came into contact with. Never had the food but it looked lovely and we’ve heard good things..they have a great mix of ales, beers, ciders etc. Will definitely be back again at some point!

Easily my favourite pub in Hastings and one of the best on the South Coast. Fantastic beer selection with none of the CAMRA elitism. Great food too. Sunday brunches are legendary. Staff make the place - none better. I would say it is quite trendy but it also attracts a few nobs, and worse, nobs with dogs.

This is one of the best pubs in Hastings. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Also really dog friendly. You cannot book a table unless it is a group over 8. However if you turn up they will put you in line for the next available table. So you can just have a drink at the bar and wait. Food is really tasty with local fresh ingredients. Had an amazing afternoon with my husband and whippet Bert on a rainly New Years Day. Sat in the nook with an open log fire. Lots of Ales, craft beer and wine to choose from. Thanks to all the staff. They work so hard. Will deffo be back next time we are in Hastings. Happy New Year to The Crown. Xx

What a brilliant pub! I wish it was my local , from the laid back boho vibe, enthusiastic and friendly staff to the perfectly cooked Sea Bass , excellent creme brulle and really good quality coffee? Loved it and wanted to come back. The food was amazing , the beers tasty and well kept , oh and did I mention the coffee? Outstanding !!

Despite the no booking policy and 'will we, won't we get a table' anxiety, this is rapidly becoming my favourite pub. Amazing modern fusion food - last night I had Shakshuka main and rhubarb Churros for pud! We were in the snug for the first time - brilliant atmosphere and decor.

This restaurant is a seafood lover's paradise, earning five stars across the board. However, it doesn't disappoint vegans either, as their well-crafted and delightful vegan dish proves. The value for money is simply outstanding.

Nice pub. Everyone friendly. They have good beer and a little hidden gallery room, which was perfect for reading my book. I promised myself that I have to try the Pork belly before I leave and I couldn't believe how good that was. It was a generous portion for its price and very very tasty. 5 out of 5. Thank you guys!

Stumbled upon this pub when looking for somewhere to eat for the last night of holiday after a day exploring Hastings. The menu looked good and they could take a same day booking. The food was delicious. We had the sea trout with pumpkin seed salsa stuffing and the pollock with fennel, peas, and beans, followed by the sorbets and the blue cheese with savoury malt bread. Sorbets were unusual flavours and very tasty, and the malt bread was scrummy. Also had a summer garden gin cocktail, which was most pleasant. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable last evening of our holiday.

Great food and drinks, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. We were seated in the back room, lovely decorated with art and there were children's toys too. Would recommend!

The food was the best I had had in a long time. Delicious. Well presented. Staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. I sat outside in the sun, pretty street. One of those pubs you wish you had locally. A very different experience to one I had lately in Hasketon.

Went there for lunch with a friend on a Wednesday. Really lovely place with an interesting menu and dishes were beautifully prepared and presented. Also went there on a busy Saturday afternoon. Fast service, busy, and full of cool people of all ages.

Lovely atmosphere, super friendly staff, great food and good portions. We had the vegan fritters and they were excellent. Staff were very attentive and gave better service than what you'd expect from just a pub. Highly recommend for ambience, location, and food.

This is my friend’s birthday. She chose this restaurant for her birthday dinner. We came at six on Wednesday. It’s surprisingly crowded. Lucky that we have reserved a table. I ordered a tandoori fish while my friend had lamb. My tandoori fish is lovely. Not very spicy and yogurt made it a little bit sour. Love it! We had a raspberry sorbet at the end. So delicious that I forgot to take a picture 🙈. Nice staff also. Will recommend.

One of the best gastro pubs in Hastings. Traditional pub with both lively and quiet areas. Great atmosphere on the Saturday we visited. Fantastic creative food using local produce - good value with friendly and efficient service
