Stopped for a bite to eat lunchtime and the food was excellent and service very friendly. We especially liked the wall to wall to ceiling book shelves loaded with books. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Lovely little spot for a coffee and hot chocolate. The children loved the little basket of toys and children’s books. A great little spot.

Lovely coffee, scrummy cakes, friendly staff and I love the fact our two dogs always get a big dog biscuit each, such a great touch.

Probably the best coffee house in the world! Loved it! Great calming beautiful coffee shop. And I had the tea! Great cup too. Highly recommend this place. Lovely friendly service and here you can see me reading the free newspaper on my own Facebook, see what I look like relaxing on the sofa!

Had a tuna mayo sandwich at Hanushka today. I could not have got a better tuna sandwich at the London Ritz!

Delicious hot chocolate with a scrummy plum crumble; beautifully presented. Small toys for toddlers went down very well with my grandson and kept him occupied whilst we drank, ate and chatted.

Unique atmosphere, books all around you. Clean tables and a friendly staff. Service is quick as well. I loved the classic music as it matched the mood the place puts you in. However, I didn’t like the coffee (black americano) the taste was more of a burnt coffee beans and I hope this would improve.

Hanushka George Street has got a good vibe, it's one of the few places open early in the morning and offers good coffee. Love all the books, which you can take with you for a donation. Always friendly service. Recommend!

Popped in for a salmon bagel (heavy on the cream cheese and lacking salmon) excellent oat latte and black coffee though. Cosy place to sit, a mixture of sofas and tables and chairs. Friendly staff and plenty of space. Would make a great spot to host a meeting / small function even.

What a lovely cafe with lots of books. Just 1 staff less as staff didn't seem friendly 🙁 . But food was great - cheese and salami panini for me which was delicious. My daughter had a chicken caesar salad, huge and excellent value for money.

Very cosy location, great atmosphere and very popular. Meager selection of cakes and coffee is so so. Service is by a Cadre of young girls who do a good job although they get pushed when it is busy so you may have to wait a few minutes for your beverage

Located on a quiet street full of cute little shops, this coffee shop is a beautiful place to have a break. Waiters came to us as after we sat out the front and were quick in bringing our drinks. The inside had walls of books and the windows were also lined with them.

I should start by saying there are two Hanushka coffee houses in Hastings and both are wonderful. Books on the walls are far as the eye can see, take one with you for a small donation. Lovely staff, delicious food and it feels authentic. Why would anyone head to a chain when you have a place like this in town.

Love cafe and great vibe. We ordered hot chocolate and cheese and onion Panini. It came with a little salad and we enjoyed it. Hot chocolate was delicious 😋😋 The staff is polite and lovely. The whole vibe of the cafe is amazing. If you are visiting Hasting then this is a must go!

Quirky little coffee shop/ cafe, that has the walls adorned with books. Very much resembles a library more than a traditional coffee shop. Friendly and welcoming staff. One of the largest fruit scones I have ever had. Very generous with the jam and clotted cream too. Not the largest of spaces, but they do have a larger branch in Robertson Street which is equally as nice.
