If you want a special place for a meal then this is it. Not only is the food amazing but the staff are wonderful too. The ambience is relaxing and you really feel like you are on holiday when you eat in this quirky restaurant. The ginger beer with mint is a great choice if drink with the meal and why not end the meal with your very own pot of mint tea. Oh and how can I not mention the rose cake for pudding, it's worth breaking any diet to eat that.
Yet another fabulous meal at Cafe Maroc last night.
Fantastic vegetarian/pescatarian options - so lovely to have several dishes to choose from - eaten in beautiful surroundings.
Thank you Keith, and staff xXx
Fantastic restaurant. Food is totally amazing, service is excellent. We had our daughter's birthday meal there with 16 guests and nothing was to much trouble. Simply the best place to eat in Hastings. Thank you everyone at Care Maroc xxx
Food was so flavoursome. Lovely staff. Well worth a visit or two...

A must - the most tender lamb I've ever tasted..booking essential at weekends
I have had the lamb tangine not long after the restaurant opened near my home and it was gorgeous cuisine . They even catered to my request and I enjoyed the,off menu, beautifully done flatbread rolls.
Had a wonderful meal Friday evening food was amazing.
Such a great place. Fabulous food, attentive and smiley host and authentic Moroccan dishes.
Beautiful food. Very friendly host and chef. Authentic and delicious. I'll definitely be back
Love, love, love! Amazing food and great service! Thank you for helping me celebrate an early Fathers Day dinner with my dad (best lamb he's ever had). See you soon :)
Gorgeous restaurant and lovely owners - well done on taking me back to Morocco for a while
An impressive warm and welcoming Moroccan restaurant. Set in amongst antique shops in Hastings old town this is the type of restaurant that serves great food and doesn't shout about it. We were warmly greeted by the owner and given a choice of sitting in the main cosy restaurant area or next door in the shop connected to it. We chose the shop which was set up very nicely with just two tables and had the feeling of a private dining experience. We chose the harissa prawns and houmous with olives to start. The houmous was just as it should be and as good as I have tasted in the Middle East. The prawns were large juicy and the dressing was perfect. For our main we had the lamb and apricot tagine and this was probably the best tagine I've had. The lamb was falling apart, tasted fantastic was and generously portioned. The service was warm and freindly, food wonderful and setting unique. Highly recommended
Simple menu, Incredible food. Highly recommend.
Lamb and apricot tagine was perfect, lamb was super tender.
Ginger cheesecake was a highlight! I would go back just for this, no I WILL go back just for this!
Just needs an open window or a fan as the restaurant is super hot.
Sweet little Moroccan restaurant in the Old Town. Has a very strong family-feel, so friendly and welcoming. The menu is also small, but that's not a criticism: it's focused rather than limited. The food is generous and gorgeous, and very reasonably priced. I managed 3 courses: houmous & olives, lamb tagine with almonds & apricot, and rose cake - all amazing. They do serve coffee, but I don't know about other soft drinks as we took advantage of the corkage a brought a bottle. Highly recommended.
I telephoned a couple of days before New Year to see if they would be open that evening. They wasnt sure at first but then confirmed that yes they would be open, and we were soooo very happy there were! We had a table of 4 people and we all shared a mixed starter of everything on the menu. Gave us all the opportunity of sampling the different dishes. Then for main course, 3 of us went for the lamb tagine and 1 for the fish. Well, them lamb was simply delicious. So super tasty and soft. If you stared at it long enough it literally just fell apart. I tasted a little of my partners fish tagine, which was sea bass in a tomato kinda sauce. That too was really tasty. I'm surprised we had room for desert, but we did and I ate a lovely plum and almond tart. It's BYO booze (£3 corkage) which is no problem at all, you are able to drink as little or as much as you like. We had 3 courses @£25pp and I enojoyed every minute. The restaurant is small but perfectly formed. I and my friends will definitely be coming back here to eat again! Thank you for a super taste sensation.

Not to be missed- truly a gem and 100% will go back!
Stayed in Hastings overnight before a holiday and booked Cafe Maroc. Having travelled from Bristol, we were not disappointed!
We did walk past the door initially but google maps puts us back on track. The restaurant is cosy with about 30 seats and is authentically decorated. Our hosts were attentive and friendly.
The food was INCREDIBLE! We had a set menu, £25 for three courses with a BYOB. We shared the Lamb Kebab, honey and goats cheese salad and Zalouk - all of which were DELICIOUS- we ate in thirty seconds flat!
We then had the chicken tagine and lamb tagine which came out hot and full of flavour, beautiful! Not 100% sure was dessert was but feta and apple baklava is my best guest- sweet and tasty!
Generous portions and cosy atmosphere, the food came quickly and each bit was wonderful. Would highly recommend!
Lovely little place.
Opening hours are limited and not that many spaces, so get there early or book well in advance.
Great selection of delicious food.
Sometimes I think some of the items on the menu are a little overpriced.
Authentic, delicious food.
Cafe Maroc was a pleasant surprise! This little Moroccan cafe won my heart with its tasty food and very polite and friendly staff. I ordered a Chicken and Spinach Tangine which smelt and tasted delicious. I also tried Moroccan coffee and mint tea which were both very subtle yet has a nice effect on you.
Walked past when it was closed, with the door open and the aroma was enticing. Stopped and booked for tonight.
Normally, we have one course but the starters intrigued. One goat's cheese salad with odd sprinkles of pomegranate seeds and salad; and a minced lamb kebab with aromatic salad, anointed with a creamy sauce. Both delighted.
Tagines for mains. Classic lamb with sparse but welcome apricots (whole) and a few almonds. Chicken and spinach. Stunning.
Asked '''what does it smell like?" Answer: remember when we have a really good roast chicken and we make stock? It smells of the best chicken stock.
Surely no room for pudding? Actually, yes. Blackcurrant sorbet for one, and cheesecake and a scoop of ice cream for t'other.
With 2 times £3 corkage, £56 for two all in.
Excellent flavours, great service and a friendly atmosphere.
Highly recommended.
Amazing, amazing food (would recommend the humus starter and the shakshuka main) in a perfectly cosy and authentic atmosphere, accompanied by faultless service. Only open a few days a week so often busy but worth the wait/booking in advance!
Fantastic little quirky place. The menu is limited but this is what makes it so appealing. Authentic Moroccan food and genuinely friendly owners. Highly recommend.
I will be returning.. it's a BYO and the food is delicious! Lamb tagine with almonds and apricots is my choice
Great food, great ambience, great people. Can't fault it. Loved the whole meal.
Really excellent small restaurant. Great food and service. Good value.
