Tucked away country pub with a good sized beer garden. It was raining when we went so the dining room was quite full but the staff managed to accommodate our table for two. It has the vibe of a smart restaurant but maintains the character of the pub. Definitely more of a place to go for a meal rathe
Wasn’t looking for this place but stumbled across it on the way home, and I’m glad I did! The beer garden is lovely, my kids enjoyed playing in the play area, the Vegan Burger was the best one I’ve ever had and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her spicy margarita and the beetroot gnocchi! It wasn’t the c
Fantastic venue for lunch. I turned up early for a lunch appointment due to no traffic on M25. About 90 mins early. The restaurant was not even open yet, they found me a spot where I could work, brought me coffee and drinks until my colleagues arrived. Once they arrived and was ready to eat, the foo
What a find. If you didn't know it was there you'd pass it. This is a lovely place to sit and have a drink. Great size Garden with a kids climbing frame. Dog friendly, even having tables inside if needed. Serving delicious food inside and out for those lovely summer evenings. Service was superb, ve
Very nice stop off just outside of Brighton, not so much in the winter just for a pint as it's basically just a restaurant but the food we had was very good. Having been in the summer as well I can confirm the garden is pleasant as well.
Just enjoyed my third visit to The Ginger Fox!! It’s a great pub to visit any time of the year - the restaurant area is cosy in the colder months and there is a wonderful sunny garden to enjoy in the Summer. The service here is warm and friendly and the food is exceptional for what is essentially ‘p
Gorgeous meal. Excellent service. Starters: Mackerel Mains: Rump steak Dessert’s: ice cream, 2 scoops Wine. Albourne Estate white. Stunning.
We're fast becoming regulars at The Ginger Fox, and for good reason. Refined pub food, wonderful staff and they make a decent cocktail.
Outstanding food and consistently good. Book early. Atmosphere is genial although the restaurant can be a little drafty. Take a blanket and enjoy snuggling up instead.
So pleased to have discovered this pub after a visit to Albourne wine estate. Great service, lovely food and excellent coffee. Knowledgeable staff and a good selection of wines and beers. It’s on the higher end of pricing but the quality of the food is much higher than most pounds I have been to rec
Food and service was great. Sat in the garden, lovely setting. The only issue was we ordered a glass of red wine and were given a very expensive glass... not known until we got the bill!
Friendly, welcoming staff and a lovely Christmassy atmosphere. Busy but not noisy so we could at least chat without shouting and we didn’t feel crammed in unlike some other restaurants. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Our only grumble was that the rump steak was absolutely tiny, l
Having wanted to visit for a long time I finally came on a Friday for lunch. The sunshine was out and they had reserved us a table outside if we wanted it which was a lovely touch. I didnt get the name of the brunette lady that welcomed us but she was warm and attentive. Our waiter Donall was so lov
Chose the GF to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Great choice. Delicious food from an interesting menu. Service was quick and charming. Laura looked after us and gave the evening a special touch at the end of the meal to make it a memorable date night. Highly recommended.
My first time here but it won't be the last! Food was exceptional and service friendly and attentive. I'd very much recommend this place. Not cheap but worth every penny.
We have just had a fantastic Sunday dinner. Beautiful, family friendly, dog friendly, cottage style posh pub. All of the servers are attentive regardless of which table you are sat at and it didn't feel like they were rushing us. The food was definately worth every penny.
Coming from the other side of the pond, you often hear the folklore about a calming drive across the English countryside climaxing at a little restaurant to have a proper Sunday roast. Welllll, the rumors are true and Ginger Fox was everything and more. Located in the downs outside of Brighton, thi
What a lovely place. We went for a Sunday lunch - have to say it was the best roast I have had outside of my kitchen 😊, there was no part of it that wasn’t spot on. I’m quite picky and it was lovely. As was the faultless service. Thank you Ginger Fox it was a pleasure and when I’m visiting son again
