Lovely outside seating area. The staff were really accommodating and friendly. Food was fine, but the chocolate brownie dessert was too die for!

I enjoyed a lovely meal at The Mill. The atmosphere is quite homely and interesting as there are a few separate areas at slightly different elevations, each with their own individual ambience. There's also a large beer garden with plenty of sheltered and unsheltered space. I was sat in the inside dining area and had a delicious plant based main (pea tortellini) and dessert (biscoff doughnuts, with caramelised banana and mango sorbet). The food is elevated beyond what you'd expect from a pub, flavours and presentation were great and very reasonably priced. The service was great, Annabelle was super attentive, friendly and even loaned me her personal power bank after I aired my concerns about promptly paying the bill with my rapidly discharging mobile (don't rely on Gpay/applepay folks).
Had booked the private dining room for a 50th Birthday. All the staff were amazing. Saffron was able to get the cake into the fridge before the event and allow us to decorate the room. When it came to the service Annabelle was super with setting up the table and making room feel really special. The food from the kitchen was incredible. Best night ever. Thank you all of you who were working.
Food was excellent, I had the fish special, the sauce was amazing. Very high quality food and menu. Service was very quick, polite thanks to Annabelle and Oscar who made our groups night special. Thank you Oscar for indulging the surprise me with the ice cream option. Was a very nice touch. Thanks to all for an excellent meal. Will be recommending. ❤️
Everything was lovely but the 2 staff waiting on us didn't communicate well. Two out of three drinks were incorrect. Other than that, we enjoyed our first-time visit. We live overseas but will dine here again on our next visit to my aunt who lives nearby.
We had an amazing experience at the Mill tonight. The food and atmosphere was absolutely great and above all we had the lovely Annabelle who attended to our service. She was beyond our expectations as a waitress. We would like to thank her immensely tonight for her great service. No doubt we will be coming again and again over!
We were a reasonably large group of 11 and were seated outside. We very much appreciated the patio heaters which are on timers and available for the patrons to operate. Service was good (especially considering our group's size). The menu isn't that big but there were a few specials and everyone found something to their taste. The food was a decent quality, a few minor niggles much nothing which spoilt the evening. Would definitely consider going back again.
Great pub, big beer garden, with a hatch for drinks and food in summer/busy periods. Nice layout inside, and it's always been clean when I've gone there. I haven't eaten there, but I've heardit'ss very good.
We had a truly memorable lunch at The Mill last week. Our waitress Annabelle was delightful and extremely helpful and the food was imaginative and absolutely delicious. There was plenty of choice from the wine list,and Annabelle was able to recommend pairings with meal choices which was most impressive. We will definitely eat there again and, soon I hope!
Great food, had the crab linguine which was really light and fresh and a brilliant portion size, as well as the fish and chips which was lovely. Car park was almost full, lots of people but the food came out really quick. Only passing through but would return again if we could!
Food much better than your average pub! Outside seating area is great especially on a warm evening. Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone who wants a good quality meal and great atmosphere.
great price for the quality, should be next up on the Michelin guide. Harry Cook (sous chef) is one to watch. Creative menus and service. 5 stars +
We are regulars. It's always a pleasure to come to The Mill. On this occasion, we were served by Annabelle and Liv. Liv was on her first day and coping really well. I feel that Annabelle is on the fast track to great things.
Gorgeous Sunday lunch, great service, super kid-friendly and the littles want me to give a special mention to the puddings and lovely waitress Saffron.
Very small complaint in that our aperitifs were delivered at the same time as our starters and wine. Food was very good. Our waitress Annabelle was lovely. Very attentive and knowledgeable. It was a buzzy Friday evening. Would recommend
