Currently home to The Hanover pub. Amazing Sunday dinner, which completed filled us all up. Friendly and welcoming staff. Come for the food and stay because you can’t move after!
Delicious Sunday lunch in this treasure of a place. It looks small from the outside but there is masses of room in the upstairs dining rooms. The food portions were generous. There was a wide selection of very tasty desserts and it was incredibly fairly priced. We will definitely be back for more
Very welcoming place steeped in history, with wooden beams throughout. Server decided to put us right next to a large family, who drowned out any conversation. Prawn cocktail maybe should be made with fresh prawns rather than frozen, but liver and bacon was excellent, as was the chicken Kiev. Would
Had our Christmas Jumper Day meal at the Post. Service was great and the food excellent. Under new management but no change to the experience. Recommend a visit
Good food cooked to order . Took a little while but what I expected if cooked fresh . Excellent choice if meat, fish or vegetarian food to suit your preference Good portion size value for money. Noted If poor mobility ensure book ahead as much of the resturant is up stairs. Nice to see real ale grav
Served by young friendly Harry, who was learning the trade. The Sunday lunch was excellent with large, generous portions. Seating was upstairs in this tavern type bar.
Thank you Lorraine... Temporary home to the Hanover Inn which burnt down... excellent Cask beers and very friendly owner/staff... highly recommended to visit..... Nick
This is a review of the restaurant. Simply great food with some clever draught beer choices. Unforgettable: the homemade fish pie and the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream.
Absolutely excellent food and service! Definitely want to go again. Superb all round. Only doing Sunday roast this day but c made and cooked something especially for the little kids as they won't eat roast.
A nice small establishment that's a replacement for the Hanover. The staff were friendly and the beer was of good quality too. Sadly didn't eat there, so cnat judge the restaurant part. Maybe next time.
