We had a lovely meal here tonight. The service was exceptional, meals were delicious and generous portions and the atmosphere was great too. My family felt very welcome. The only thing that would make it better is if I had left room for pudding (they looked delicious but I was stuffed!).

Fantastic, very accomadating to our needs as a family of 7 stayed twice over a period of 2 weeks as a travel break to and from Holland. The children loved it and the food was excellent. Rooms were very well equipped and spotless.
Will definitely be staying again.
Wanted a quiet but not-dead pub for relaxed tipple before Holland ferry. Enjoyed V much. Hotel has strong links with Sam Pepys himself. Manager lent me folder of the History.
Enjoyed a two night stay at end of march. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had room 5 which was fantastic. Very comfortable. Loved the bar with plenty of choices. Restaurant great roast beef and starters great. Good parking on site. Easy to walk to.museums and Train station. Can get to Dover c

Visited here for a private party, very quaint place with a lovely courtyard garden seating area. Proper little hidden gem, highly recommend trying it.
Stopped for a well earned pint. Lovely place. Nice courtyard and a really good pint of Guinness. One of the best I have had in the UK.
Went here for a two night break over my birthday.
The room was fantastic. A really good size, large double bed, sofa, large telly and a nice sized bathroom.
We ate in the restaurant each night. What a pleasure. The portions were very generous, with the food quality brilliant. Everything well cooked

Excellent Inn, very good food and staff friendly and welcoming. Have been here before, staying for four nights, probably our fifth visit, say's it all. Like the people and area.

We booked last minute for a group of 22. The food and service was excellent. Well organised and friendly. Lovely Sunday roast!

First time visiting today . Friendly welcome and a lovely intimate venue . Great glass of very reasonably priced red and a fresh homemade breaded chicken bap with salad .

Love staying here. Staff are great, food wonderful, rooms good size, well kept, easy to park, we always stay here.
Second time staying here. Great location to explore the maritime history of Harwich. Friendly service, small continental breakfast, atmospheric clean rooms and a nice bar. Restaurant is lovely although we didn't eat this time.
Had a lovely meal the food was exceptional high quality. Great place to eat. Lovely friendly staff. Well worth a visit. We will be returning again.
