What a great pub this is....we stopped for sunday lunch, the food was delicious and staff couldn't do enough for us. Loved the old beams and beautiful wooden floors..the pub has so much character. A big thank you to Sam, the manager, who made us feel so welcome. This pub is a real gem set in the most beautiful countryside..I can't wait for the grand re opening to see the pub after its refurbishment ....hoping the sun shines next time I visit so I can sit in the beautiful beer garden. Happy days at The Dog !!!

I had my 50th birthday family meal at dog in the private function room, the dog house. The staff were welcoming, polite, helpful nothing was too much trouble. We were able to decorate the room in the afternoon which was great. The food was great, hot and good portions. A wonderful time was had by all . Thank you.

Exited to see how the refurbishment had gone and wasn’t disappointed. Obviously well thought through and planned. Loved the new interior which we found very inviting and relaxing , could have stayed all day as I believe is the intention, “ take your time” Food good, new menu just right and staff efficient and welcoming. And no you’re probably thinking I’m related to Sam the manager but no just local and impressed 👏👏👏

I would just like to thank the staff this evening. I booked a table for 19 for my mom's birthday and they couldn't have been anymore helpful. From the moment that I initially contacted them to make the booking until the moment our party left we were made to feel special. The food was lovely too but the evening was definitely made special by the staff. You all are a credit to the pub and I really can not thank you enough. We will definitely be back in the not too distant future. Xx

A comfortable country style pub with large gardens. Food was of good quality and value for money. Menu is extensive with several two for one offers at certain times of day. Overall 4 stars on this occasion. Please note the pie photo did actually have more carrots when served, I ate two before remembering to take photos. :)

The pub was lovely and great garden, super for dogs too! The staff were lovely and friendly. My son’s chicken burger was fine but our salads were poor and very over priced! Limp brown lettuce should never be served, my halloumi barely looked at any heat and had basically come straight out the packet, not sure how anyone would be able to get baby corn resembling catkins…the price for this basic salad was way too much. Kitchen you let your front of staff down!

Great overall experience. Really friendly and helpful bar staff, welcoming and always smiling. Really nice food, we had sausage and mash, and fish and chips with a beer and a couple of cokes for £39. In my opinion great value and a lovely pub to spend a couple of hours eating and drinking. Would highly recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Came in with my mum for Friday lunch so in keeping with tradition we both went for the fish & chips off the main menu which we both agreed was lovely. The staff were attentive from the minute we arrived and couldn't do enough for us. Looking forward to my next visit already.

That was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. Had a trio of meats, meats were excellent along with fresh vegetables and a delicious large Yorkshire pud. Desert was delicious as well. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Hats off to the chefs

Popped in with my husband, as it was a halfway point on our walk. We decided to eat and were pleasantly surprised. We've not eaten here for a while and the food has definitely improved. My husband enjoyed the pie of the day and I had the lasagne. Staff were very attentive and the ambiance was good. We shall return.

I am pleased to share my wonderful experience at The Dog in Harvington, Stourbridge, and I must give special recognition to the exceptional service provided by Anna. From the moment we stepped into The Dog, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic charm of the place immediately set the tone for a delightful dining experience. As we settled in, Anna welcomed us with a genuine smile and an eagerness to make our visit memorable. Now, let's talk about the food. We had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes that left our taste buds dancing with delight. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Sunday roast. The beautifully cooked roast with its succulent and tender beef, accompanied by perfectly roasted potatoes and an array of well-seasoned vegetables, was an absolute treat. It was a true testament to the skill of the kitchen, and we couldn't have been happier with our choices. What truly stood out, however, was Anna's impeccable service. Her attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and willingness to accommodate our preferences made the experience truly special. She guided us through the menu with expertise, ensuring that each dish was tailored to our liking. Her friendly demeanor and genuine interest in our dining satisfaction added an extra layer of enjoyment to our time at The Dog. Anna's dedication to providing top-notch service truly made our visit unforgettable. She is a true asset to The Dog, and her commitment to enhancing our dining experience did not go unnoticed. In conclusion, The Dog in Harvington is a gem worth visiting, and Anna's exceptional service elevated our time there to another level. Whether you're seeking delectable food, a cozy atmosphere, or outstanding service, The Dog checks all the boxes. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit, and be sure to say hello to Anna when you do – you're in for a treat!

Wonderful food and staff so refreshing to go to a country pub and feel the warm family atmosphere. We never felt rushed or hurried to eat even though it was really busy. Ellie our server was fast efficient and very friendly and recommended an amazing wine for me. Thank you everyone at the Dog

Popped in with our little furry friend on the off chance of getting a meal on the way home from Manchester. The staff were most helpful and found us a table for 2 in the Dog House. The menu is quite extensive and the service second to none. The food was served with a smile and was hot and plentiful. Would I recommend a visit to this establishment... Most Definitely. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Very nice venue, hardworking, pleasant and friendly staff particularly good service from Natalie. The Sunday lunches that our party had were enjoyed by all but I made the error of having the rib eye steak and it was a very disappointing cut. The apple and cherry crumble with ice cream helped me get over my disappointment though 😉😂.

Dropped in the Dog at Harvington on my way through from Wales to visit family in Birmingham. Felt very comfortable from the outset, and Ellie was kind enough to recommend the signature burger from the menu which was outstanding for the money. Extremely friendly staff, polite and attentive. Listening to the interactions from Ellie and the other staff they are extremely professional and couldn't have helped me and the other customers more. Would highly recommend this pub, and feel free to treat the staff, they appear to work hard and deserve any appreciation they get.

Beautiful pub with amazing beer garden. Small area at the front then large grassy garden at the back , plenty of benches and tables. Dog and kid friendly. The pub itself is very traditional, easy chairs or standard table and chairs with a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are so helpful and the Manageress always on hand. Food freshly cooked (Sunday roast is brilliant - loads of fresh veg and generous meat serving!).

What a great evening! Fab to see a full car park, full bar and full restaurant! We haven’t been in a while and we are so pleased that the standards remain ever high! Homemade kebab and the burgers were 👌👌 Service was spot on, with nothing too much trouble… the ‘calorie free’ tiramisu was a hit 😜 We enjoyed it so much, we booked for Christmas Day! Thank you!
