Great pub food. Friendly welcome. Covid safe and definitely sound! Did I really eat all that? (Licks lips)
Nice and friendly little pub that looks after its beer well. Always a friendly welcome and they have a lot going on, most evenings.
Very warm welcome. Tables all clean and tidy. Enjoyed a lovely fish and chips: hubby had pie and chips, said it was very nice. Garden area, nice to relax in.
Good food, friendly people and not too expensive.
Due to covid lockdown we was only able to get takeout food, however we ordered double cheeseburger and Thai curry with rice, was lovely and definitely worth ordering, hope to dine at the golden cross when its open after lockdown has lifted.
Great village pud with a warm welcome.Good choice of home made food especially the Sunday lunch. All washed down with a well kept seletion of real ales. The quiz is worth a go on ever other Thursday and the bear garden is a nice place to relax in on a warm sunny day.
We were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and our meals were delicious 😋😋😋

We had a fantastic meal from the Christmas Menu this weekend. Friendly staff and great service. Would definitely recommend.
Small village pub run by a friendly husband and wife team. No frills, no aires and graces but loads of smiles, good grub and good beers. What's not to.like?
excellent food ...really enjoyed it! Also excellent value for money, cant fault it. Decor and garden needs attention, doesnt do justice to food of this quality.
Just had one pint on way home after a day's fishing very friendly staff and customers
Just popped in for lunch. Fish and chips and a pint all good. Only minor criticism was though the food was hot it was served on cold plates.
Cheerful traditional pub beer good, ham salad bap good will visit again on way back from fishing.
