What a great pub! Really friendly staff and amazing home cooked food in huge portions! Wish we’d tried the renowned steak and kidney pie! Next time.

Had dinner. Nice to sit outside by the lake (picnic tables). Traditional pub but nice enough. Food - chicken & beef burgers, chicken special (Stilton & bacon sauce) all really nice, all with salad & chips. Huge portions, they like to make sure you are well fed! Friendly staff.
Sunday roast at £13.95 is excellent value for money. 9 to 10 veg, beef, gammon or pork is home cooked and is huge. Eaten here many times and the food and welcome has never faulted.
Wow! What an amazing place for a roast dinner! I have never found such an amazing pub! The food portions are amazing, the meat is delicious, you get so many different vegetables. The staff are so quick with service. There is nothing you can fault the view of the lake is amazing and I just love going here on a Sunday! If you love a roast do not miss out on a watersmeet roast you’ll never have anything like it! Also the price is so reasonable for what you get!
We came all the way from France for the cheese rolling contest in Gloucester and it was totally worth it ! Thank you a lot for everything, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Watersmeet from the warm welcome when we arrived until the end.
Confortable rooms, very clean and a such a great ambiance at the pub and around the fishing pond ! We will miss the swans and the ducklings and the super friendly staff. We highly recommend!

Really friendly place staff couldn't have been nicer. Very chatty and informative. Food was great and the seating outside by the lake was very picturesque. Having a tame Swan that pinches your chips is priceless.
Called in here for tea tonight after picking my daughter up from college before heading back to Yorkshire. Very clean, staff and locals were very friendly. Steak meal was top class,, thank you we'll definately call again.
What a gem this pub is, lovely woodburner and welcoming staff.
Now for the food, good quality Sunday lunch with 9 vegetables and plenty of beautifully cooked meat of your choice.
