I popped in for a coffee one day, great service and amazing home made food. After speaking to the staff, they showed me the function room. My 50th birthday was coming up, my husband was away during the week and wanted to organise something for me. He had a meeting with Bev who wrote down everything he wanted and most importantly said "don't you worry about a thing" sure enough we didn't. The night was amazing, room looked stunning, tables dressed, balloons and chairs. It was a black and white theme, Bev even ensured the staff wore black and white. We had hot food, which was GORGEOUS, beef, curry, chilli to name a few and the best roasties ever. Everyone said it was the best night ever. I had friends and family who travelled from Yorkshire, lakes, Manchester, China and Australia.
Staff are so friendly and the drinks are so reasonable and a great selection.
Since my party, my employees have had a party and 2 members of my family have held events there. My nephew held his wedding in the Chapel then downstairs for the reception. Again amazing from start to finish. If you are thinking about booking just go for it. Be quick tho because they are always busy.
Bev spent a great deal of time discussing what we wanted for our golden wedding anniversary and certainly didn't disappoint. The room was beautifully prepared catering was great and Bev and staff were so friendly and helpful . Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it .We will certainly come back .Highly recommended xxx

Girls at work had hot beef sarnies and they looked lovely. I only had chips but they were bloody yummy � Great place to go for takeaway everyone x
Our golden wedding celebration had a fantastic evening, thanks to everyone. The food platters were great and the cake was delicious - apologies to those who missed it ( we forgot go cut it until late in the evening)!!!
Thanks to Bev at the AVenue and the staff who all put in so much hard work, the room and decor was stunning. Finally big thanks to Howie for the entertainment and fun.

We had our wedding day here 24.09.2016. We married in the temple and had our meal &nyt reception in dwn stairs bar it was amazing frm start to finish Bev runs a tight ship & her staff are lovely too. If ur looking for sum were to get married or any event this is the place to be. Bev is amazing nothing was a problem to her .highly recommended. Jo & ian xxx
Me and my husband got married on Saturday, we can't thank Bev and her staff enough, the venue looked amazing, the staff were polite and helpful very professional, Bev out did herself to make sure our day was perfect and everything ran smoothly, I would highly recommend anyone to have any sort of event here, the food was amazing! All of our guest were more than happy with what they were eating, the fudge cake was to die for , once again we would like to thank Bev and the staff for making our day so amazing! We had our wedding in Avenue few days ago and very happy with everything . Bev is really professional and supportive, any problem arise, she can sort it straightaway . Reception room decoration was fantastic , meal was good and for the price - really good. We strongly recommend this venue for wedding or any other party ..
I would highly recommend Avenue Tea Room for your special event ,Bev and her staff go out of there way to make sure everything goes well the room was gorgeous the food was perfect and everyone had a great night ,we have booked again for a very special wedding in November,thank you Bev for everything from all our family and friends xx
Attended a function here and was blown away by the service provided.
Tables and chairs dressed beautifully, hot and cold food prepared and served in house, and the staff are very attentive and welcoming.
I highly recommend to anyone and everyone 5 STAR
Was a lovely place. Went as a guest to a wedding party. Food was delicious. Bar drinks not expensive and plenty of space.

Amazing venue for any event be it Engagement, Wedding, Christening, Birthday etc. Being part of the team with my business Wedded Bliss Events and the rest of the guys is one of the best experiences I've ever had. Good value for money, brilliant Customer Service and friendly atmosphere too.
Had the best Fish and Chips ever. Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere. Well recommended 👌 and very well priced.

Catherine and I went for the 1st time to the avenue café on Friday 7th of April and we were pleasantly surprised on how friendly the staff were. We decided to have a meal, Catherine had a roast chicken dinner ( oap size) while I thought it was a good idea to have the large mince and dumpling. The food was hot, well presented and the vegetables were proper veg, no tinned stuff here. Meat, carrots, roast and mashed potatoes along with mushy peas. Catherine's dinner came with a Yorkshire pudding whilst my dinner came with a giant dumpling. I didn't leave any, but I was struggling at the end. All finished off with a pot of tea in a proper tea pot with cups and saucers. We went back today ( 13th of April) for the pensioners special, cornbeef pie with chips, mushy peas and gravy, Scampi, chips, coleslaw and salad. With a pot of tea for 2 along with a sandwich of choice and a scone of choice to take home, for a fiver each !! How Beverly the owner makes a profit I don't know. Lovely food, nice atmosphere and service with a smile. Well worth a visit, you won't be sorry, definitely worth the visit. Needless to say we're going back next week. John and Catherine Larkin

Attended my friends wedding, on Xmas eve, lovely atmosphere, buffet was one of the best I have ever had, wonderful choice of hot and cold food,, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff, would definitely recommend this venue,
