I have been frequenting this establishment for the past year. The food is great and the staff very friendly. Its a good experience all round. The owner Maria is a wonderful lady, so friendly and a pleasure to know. I will certainly be back again and again. Keep up the good work...

This place was lovely. It's a quiet little cafe in the corner of a beautiful park. The staff were lovely, and the food was nice. I didn't get any photos of the inside of the cafe, but I got a few of the park. Also if someone can tell me the name of the bird with the red on its face it would be greatly appreciated.

I held my mum's wake in the function room at this lovely establishment and it was fantastic. Thank you to all the staff for making this important occasion so special. The way they'd set the room out was lovely and there were doors that opened out onto an exclusive grass area which was great as we were lucky enough to get a warm day. The food was divine. I went for the Saffron menu and the quality was excellent (particularly the corned beef pie) as it was all home made. They didn't scrimp on quantity either. There was way more than we could eat. They could have charged a lot more for what they provided so don't be put off by the low price tag. Just to keep this review balanced I'll nit pick and give you the negatives. Only 5 parking bays outside and these are disabled only. However plenty of free street parking a short 3 minute walk away. The soap dispenser in the function room toilet was empty so we had to ask for it to be filled (which they did immediately). Would have given 6 stars but only 5 available. Look no further if you are considering this place for a wake. Thank you to all the staff who work here. You're all lovely.

For a small cafe it has a huge menu all cooked on site. Lovely staff quick service clean and value for money. But for me the best cornflake tart and custard in the North East. Add to that close free on street parking and it’s a winner.

Well priced, beautiful staff on hand, well mannered totally kid friendly! Just what's needed in a public park ... Hot and cold food served, drinks, bakery treats, sweets, chocolate bars, ice lollies, magnums and Mr whippy ice cream machine ... They finally have a tuck shop of trinkets and toys you would expect to see in a park. They can do birthdays there as well as they have a separate room for hosting

It is very nice and pleasing, a little expensive to say the least, so never bought anything but a small ice cream the the grandchild and that was £2 😣
