My husband, 8 year old (small child not my husband!!!) and I visited today for a little “off the cuff” treat. And what a treat it was too. We ordered drinks and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. I set up a tab having ordered only 3 drinks without any issues on the off chance we might stay for food - and I’m so glad we did. My daughter had the pasta - no challenge there I suppose, but my husband had the fish and chips, and I had the fish finger sandwich. Now my hubby said he always feels “done over” with fish and chips from a pub rather than a chippy and almost went for the “monster mixed grill” - and it is a beast of a plate full, but he ordered the F & C. We were not at all disappointed with what we had ordered. He said he was pleased he got them and I cannot recommend the fish finger sandwich enough (however don’t order it thinking you getting a light meal!!! My mistake there but couldn’t help but eat it all �). Both were so delicious. Thanks for a lovely afternoon, it really was a “Good Friday” ��
We visited last night for a few drinks and something to eat. Asked the lady behind the counter if I could add chorizo and jalapeños to a Parmo I ordered which was no problem. The beer was on point � but the food was on an other level. Absolutely beautiful. I was just annoyed with myself for not being able to eat it all. Same again for me next time!
Love the refurb. Ordered the mussels, chicken Parmesan, scampi and a club sandwich. The food was excellent. Service was top notch. We had a lovely afternoon. They even serve decaf tea (which is possibly the most depressing sentence I've ever said - but needs must)
Today was my first Sunday dinner at this place the food and staff are absolutely fantastic. Well worth a visit

Just had the most amazing Lamb Roast here. Most places are stingy on meat but certainly not here. Beautiful veg and all unbelievably fresh. Price is very reasonable and I’ll certainly be making this my new favourite place for Sunday dinners. Ooh and the staff are amazing as always
Fantastic pub, great food, great atmosphere. Went for England match today and couldn't have asked for anything better. Atmosphere was electric. Well done to the owners �
We came for food after attending a funeral in the village church. The staff were first class, friendly, helpful and very polite. The food provided was excellent and staff hovered nearby to ensure everyone was looked after properly. The pub was clean and well organised . I would reccomend it to anyone. Thanks to all concerned for helping make a difficult day alittle easier
Have been for our tea this evening , have to say the food was lovely , service was efficient and friendly. My 10 year old daughter says her meal was 5 out of 5 stars ��. would highly recommend the Parmo it was delicious ��. Staff were polite and friendly . Will definitely be back again very soon . I will be recommending to my family and friends . thanks
Monday afternoon both me and the wife off work , Hadn’t been to the raby arms for years will give it try !! Ordered the “the villager” mixed grill and the 6oz burger.. walked in starving we didn’t eat anything else for the rest of the day !!! Quality food and service with a smile 👍 new local found 😁

Went for the Sunday Roast...had the Beef dinner, it was lovely and very tasty. Got plenty of beef and a extra side of pigs in blankets. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering... before the drinks even came.
Took photos of the duo meat dinner as we went back again a few weeks later.
Probably the best Sunday dinner I've had in a long time.

I've been a customer here on and off for a lot of years. Admittedly disappointed some months ago when they took Moretti off and tried to replace it with the pig swill that is Madri (I'd rather punch myself with a strap brick than indulge in drinking this dishwater of a lager) ... However Staropramen is also on offer, and whilst not the nectar or Moretti, it is decent enough. Last night myself and my daughter called for food and the food was excellent and the service outstanding. It was a busy satury night, they found us a table despite this, food was served quickly, price was excellent, and the food was really good. I had pork loin with peppercorn from the special board which had bags of flavour. Chips were superb. My daughter had pizza, which although was bigger than her torso (she is only 7) she had a good go at it and said the pepperoni was top notch. Staff were absolutely lovely ... Even showing my daughter to the female toilets and giving her a hand when she couldn't stop activate one of the taps lol. Highly recommended this place since it's been taken over. Hopefully they stay local focused and don't go the route of many local pubs closing early if quiet etc. If they look after the customer long term then this place is onto a winner!

EDIT visit 3 (one week later)
Fish & Chips Friday special price raised to £24 (20% increase) alongside numerous price rises across the menu. Some specials removed (including the excellent pork loin) and menu starting to look less competitive for lunch. Limited smaller plate lunch menu available. Frustrating to see after a number of recent visits.
Food wise fish much thinner and had a slightly odd after taste Chips still excellent. Batter slightly overcooked this time and heavier.
No staff asked if the food was ok during this visit even when collected and half was left on the plate.
Had an amazing night last night In the Raby arms.
Was a little confusion with our seating arrangements but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Great service.
Food was worth every penny.
The band they had on was brilliant. This place is gem.
Very nice they had reserved part of the pub for us to sit in. I was there at the end of a day with my walking club.

The day was fine till about 13.00 when the rain started and stayed for the rest of the day.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful the Tyneside Blonde beer was very nice as was the Atlantic Pale.
The chips 🍟 weren't too bad either. Thankyou very much to all concerned.
Absolutely beautiful food. Friendly staff. Quiet and calm atmosphere. Nothing to grumble about. Fast service. Overall a really good meal out on a Monday evening 🙂
We had Sunday lunch for four people and were very pleased with the food quality and quantity and also the attentive service.
Our food order came very quickly, which did not give us much time to relax and chat with a pre dinner drink. Next time we would ask them to wait a little while before serving.
Our only criticism was the presentation of the food which was not particularly attractive with roast potatoes scattered randomly on the plate and pieces of the meat hidden in different places, buried under veg or mashed potato. It would have looked much more appetising if a little more care had been taken in placing the food on the plates.
However, it was still very nice, well cooked and reasonable value. The staff were warm and welcoming and we would recommend it.
First time in this easy accessible we'll located bistro bar, we have to say that we were made to feel very welcomed, service was A1 and food was excellent. After my wife went to bar to pay the bill, and go to our car, I had to check with the staff to ensure that they had not undercharged. We were informed that the had not. So we left really pleased with them whole experience 🙂 well done
We had a very nice Chicken Katsu Curry that came with rice and chips. Big portion, hot and freshly cooked. The coffee was really good too.
Cater for my dairy free needs without any fuss. I make my order and the chefs replace the dairy aspects of the meal with vegan alternatives without any fuss. The food is always delicious and the portions are generous.
Took my mother for her 82nd birthday, 6 of us in total. Service was spot on as was all of our meals, huge portions and really tasty. A great night was had by all of us.
