The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I had take out fish and chips in a box, both were delicious. There is ample nearby parking, well worth a visit and I will be back!
My father started using Verrills in the 1930s. He returned for a visit about 15 years ago and they are as good now as they ever have been. I love this chip shop, I was born and christened on the headland and whenever I'm there I try to visit. The fish is always fresh and the batter is the best. (To prove how much I like it I queued for 55 mins on good Friday! ) I have a few gripes though small ones ..... I wish they would publish there
OK, so it's June in the UK, it's raining, but we couldn't make a visit to the coast without an ice cream.

Lovely tasty fish and chips. Good portion size and freshly cooked. They didn't have all the items we wanted so it may be better to go earlier rather than later. There were queues so you need to be patient. It is nice to sit by the sea to eat them as a special treat. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely large portion of fish and chips (£9.10 Dec 2022). The fish was large and moist. The chips were chrispy and plentiful. Best of all there was a large queue outside when I left.
