Great little pub with a very friendly atmosphere and amazing food. Really enjoyed my pie and chips and the staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely be back. Only dropped a star for the lack of beer choice ... Love a nice real ale to try.

Visited this outstanding pub with 2 friends on Tuesday night. What a lovely experience. We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we walked through the door. We arrived early (booking is essential) our table wasn't quite ready so we were invited to have a seat in the bar until it was available.
Lovely village pub landlord is very friendly as are the rest of the staff. The food is really nice lovely home made chips. Four of us had different meals all well worth the money. Will definitely return.
Came today Tues 6/6/23 with a group of 7 friends , staff are very friendly, food was fabulous & delicious. Atmosphere was lovely had a lovely lunch , would definitely return & recommend people trying . Real chips , have a special's board & the desserts are a reasonable price too. Thanks everyone. 😊

This is one of my favourite places to go for a meal or a couple of drinks when I visit Hartlepool. There is a small dining area on one side and a cosy bar/lounge on the other.
