We had a really tasty meal, the service was excellent and the pub was nice and clean. Although it was very busy we didn't have to wait long for our meal. The desert we shared was to die for lol.
Stopped here today on way back from the safari park , will defently be stopping here again amazing food and staff really is a lovely place , see you again soon ! , please pass the feedback on to the chefs very very tasty food ! Well done �
First visit 21/10/17 very enjoyable staff very pleasant meals hot and tasty.My Husband and sister in law had the the fish and chips ok portion but maybe could have been a little larger myself and brother in law had the smothered chicken quite plentiful and very tasty. Good selection of everything including desserts yes very nice visit

Called to in to this pub because it looks grand from the road. Unfortunately the decor,seating, tables look tired. We were served with our drinks and ordered food which literally took ages and was an average okish. I got the feeling there could be new staff. It wasn't busy so I dread to think of they don't get cracking that service would be very slow. Waitress was great. Might give it another try next year when we will be passing through again.

We recently held a surprise get together for my mum's birthday. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I saw a young gentleman when I booked and again when I took the pre orders over, he was so helpful and informative. On the night we were hosted by Leah and Phoebe who were just amazing from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. Nothing was too much trouble. They were attentive throughout interacted and joked with us just fantastic. The food was served quick considering there was 17 of us and was just delicious, empty plates all round. Thank you again to Leah and Phoebe and of course the kitchen staff we really had the best time.
Visited today for a family meal. The customer service was excellent. Staff were very friendly, which I think is a massive issue with a lot of pubs these days.
The food was really enjoyable, specifically the chunky chips as odd as that sounds. I think most places they are a bland addition. But here they were cooked to perfection.
Will definitely go back.
Service was ok, think they were a bit short staffed, we ordered (there were four of us) early evening, not over busy, seemed a long wait for the food to arrive, then when it did the extras that we had ordered did not arrive with the food, went to bar to ask where our extras were, were told they we’re sorry but one of the staff had to leave quickly, can’t fault that they were very apologetic about it.
The garlic bread could have certainly done with more cooking. The building interior and exterior is in desperate need of some attention.
The overall cost of four meals was not to over priced but made even more affordable with the 30% off as my partner is a share holder.
All in all would say try it, but don’t expect some thing out of this world.
Friendly atmosphere, amazing food, staff are a credit always there to help. Steak is lovely, portion size really good. Highly recommended. Great place to eat as dogs also welcome inside.

Always stop here when passing through. Never been disappointed. Food and service great. Even pop in when we are in our Motorhome as the car park and access are really good. Highly recommended

Popped in for lunch and was very impressed. We had the burger and drink meal deal. The staff were very pleasant and service was quick. The food was superb and came out piping hot and well cooked. We will definitely be going back
A great pub. A brilliant atmosphere for both families or meeting friends. The food was good.Jack was a great help he went the extra mile to make sure we were all ok. Thank you mitre oak for a lovely meal this evening, thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family! Nachos to start were delish and the grazer deal means everyone could have some picky bits. Our steaks were all cooked to perfection and the chicken pie was amazeballs. Wish we had room for dessert as the neighbouring tables sundae looked great. We'll save that for next time!
On arrival a lady showed me and my partner to our table then went to the bar to order my drinks when settled at table l went to the bar to order our food which arrived very quickly. The food looked very good and enjoyable to eat. Can not find fault with any of the service l received.
Walked into welcoming staff, friendly and attentive. Happy to see gluten free peroni available and good selection of soft drinks.
Ordered the food which came swiftly.
Great gammon which sliced perfectly and delicious burgers (not greasy which was an added bonus)
Deserts arrived promptly, the praline tart is amazing- highly recommend. Great wedge of fudge cake and jam sponge was indulgent.

Great place - go there every Monday and Thursday. Thursday is great for the steak deal -would recommend. Leah is fantastic and the rest of the staff are lovely

From the ease of making the original online booking, right through to saying our goodbyes the experience was first class.
We arrived on time and a table had been reserved, as requested.
Our order was taken at the bar, quickly and efficiently, with our food arriving much quicker than we anticipated considering how busy the place was.
Speed of preparation had not diminished quality though and we enjoyed a first class meal and an all round enjoyable evening.
