Had booked a table for four for Sunday lunch, but because of illness to one of our party they very kindley provided two of the sharing platters as take-aways.
They were fabulous in terms of quality and quantity.
Thanks to all the staff. So much looking forward to a return visit.
Update 28 Oct 23 - went in for brunch. It was fabulous. I had breakfast burger and my wife had a full English. Incredibly tasty food and great service.
Unreal! The food is delicious, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. One of my favourite places to dine in with friends and family. Thank you Petra for amazing service.

We came here to meet a friend for lunch. The pub is perfectly situated, right across the road from the railway station. No complaints re food. Average price and good quality. There is a beer garden out the back and a play area for children. The biggest asset by far was Jan, the bar man. He really is one in a million and a true asset to the business. So attentive, fabulous customer service and a great sense of humour. He really made our visit. Every pub needs a Jan!
Had the steak sandwich unreal. Asked for spice and the chef gave me a Carolina reaper homemade sauce.. Spicy.. But loved it an she came to check on me. Waiter lady is top class and customer service from her was 6 star
The restaurant was full didn't eat this time just called for a drink but the food was very good when were ate on our last visit. The Staff are very friendly and the bar well stocked what more could you want from your local pub ? Could not mark the rooms as I live local and don't use them.
First visit. Amazing food, service top notch and prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Sunday roasts had generous portions and the sharing platters going to nearby tables looked epic. Will certainly be back.
Amazing food, amazing service and a really nice atmosphere. We booked here after reading other positive reviews and really glad we did! I had the fish of the day and my partner had the steak. Both were cooked to perfection and so tasty. Will be coming back for sure :)

Great beer served and pub ideally located across the road from the railway station for trains into Liverpool. Unfortunately, the trains were on strike so a drive into Liverpool was required!

From someone who has always hated pub food this was brilliant. I was only able to get a starter and a burger but the food was brilliant. The burgers was simple and outstanding. No gimmiks. It's so rare to find a pub with an actual chef and even rarer to find one with such skills. The higher price point is well beyond worth it for the food. And the bar is properly priced. Couldn't have done any better. Well done. Looking forward to go through your menu when i get the chance.
This is a lovely place to stay. Stayed here because our usual place were unable to accommodate us. But are going back tomorrow for the joy of it. If you are after a treat give it a whirl.

Visited to watch a football game,was very busy. I have heard good reviews of the food. Only a 5min walk from my home, will try again for food sometime.
