Went to this pub last night with hubby, had Blythburgh Pork scotch egg as a starter followed by feather blade steak prefectly cooked as main then lemon posset , topped with raspberries and yogurt biscuits gorgeous. Great ambience with great friendly staff would highly recommend you give the pub a try

Found this pub today on a Sunday meander around Suffolk / North Essex. We hadn't booked so was pleasantly surprised when the helpful staff managed to squeeze us in. Lovely, friendly ambiance. We ordered the pate and the cod cheeks to start; both dishes were delicious. We then had roast beef and roast pork, again, absolutely faultless food! We loved it and are looking forward to visiting again soon. Great service and beautiful food �
Last night was our first visit with friends and we loved it. Great atmosphere. Waiting staff were so friendly and professional and the steak was top notch!!! Def be back soon �

Had a lovely lunch here today with the "Best of Sudbury's" Women's Networking Lunch. The place has a really nice feel about it with friendly and helpful staff, and the food delicious. I will be back with friends and family.
We are regulars because the food & drink is excellent & always accompanied by very good service!

Thank you for providing such an amazing three course Christmas lunch today. Our whole family enjoyed the food and ambiance. Staff were very helpful especially bringing our toddlers mini Christmas dinner out whilst we had our starters. Hope to see you next year :-)

Oscar and team are very friendly whenever we dine - service is always attentive and welcoming.
In the summer, the most amazing home made pizzas dished out from a pizza oven in the garden !
We recommend to all. Prices are beyond reasonable.
The Sunday roasts are to die for! Can’t fault them. I had the beef which was served beautifully pink and tender, a giant yorkie and plenty of fresh vegetables, I couldn’t quite finish it but still managed to finish with something sweet. Berry and apple crumble was delicious.
Staff all very friendly and made a fuss over my son which kept him smiling and entertained.
After being recommended this place by airbnb hosts we popped down for a quick drink, couldn't resist the food as the whole menu looked incredible!

Loved it here. We came by accident and what a pleasant accident it was. Ample servings great service and wonderful food. Also, ample parking, at least for us when we arrived for a midweek lunch. My wife is keen to return, and so am I.

Nice pub, with good food (brilliant sticky toffee pudding). Good beers on tap, and best of all, a football pitch in the large beer garden!
